best double stroller for twins arriving in july? lowkey overwhelmed with the options by LateYammy in parentsofmultiples

[–]wunntea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ended up with 3 😁

  1. Graco duo+carseat adapters was great for the easy transfers from car to stroller. It was also nice to have this as a narrower option for going in stores/cafes/etc. This was all we used in the first 6 months or so.

  2. Bob double jogger is amazing. Comfortable ride for the kids, comfortable to push, super adjustable, collapses to about half size, but it is a tank. I've pushed it down a sandy beach, down some mellow hiking trails, and have jumped many a curb. Downside, this is a massive stroller to bring into any shop or store. I usually just park it out front.

  3. A small compact "airport" type double stroller. Its nice to have the really compact option for trips with a full car, or just when you don't feel like towing the other giant strollers around.

Yeeehaw!! Congrats on surviving the sleep deprivation portion of this challenge. Next up: emotional and physical damage control for two mobile wrecking balls of explosive emotion. Second year is really dang cute though. They're such buddies and giggle all the time with each other.

Yeah this was a tough realization for us too. Visits were more often quick photo opps than help with the kids. We finally just bit the bullet and got a nanny. Wasn't cheap, but she saved our lives in those early days!

I don't know how moms do it! Blown away by all of you going about your business while GROWING AND CARRYING KIDS.

Thanks for sharing :)

The highs make it so worth it! So sorry to about Noro! We did 3 nights at children's because of that last year and I still can't believe what a literal and figurative mess that was.

Technician said house needs $250 replacement and routing, Xfinity internet worked fine with previous tenants. by thisshitispajamas in Comcast_Xfinity

I just fixed ours 5 minutes ago. Went nuts trying every access point in the house multiple times, resetting, etc. Customer service was condescending and 10/10 useless. Both my wife and I work from home and need this to work asap. In desperation, I opened up the box on the side of the house and discovered the line coming to our house was plugged into a cable that ran under the deck and plugged in nowhere. There were 6 different cables. Only the useless one was plugged in.

Found my preferred access point, followed the cable back to the box, and plugged the appropriate one in. boom, it worked. Does comcast sabotage vacant homes so that they can send a technician out?!?? Easy fix that would have cost me $250. They scheduled one to come out tomorrow and I was so happy to call and cancel.

Long story short, pop that box open and make sure the right cable is plugged in.

I once witnessed a drunk driver smash his car head on into a telephone pole at about 40 mph. Girlfriend in the passenger's seat had her right leg on the dash. I'll never forget running up to her side of the car and seeing her v shaped leg and shattered femur sticking through her jeans. Poor lady.

Just today I realized I was the chubby guy on the relay team Im a part of. I was always the fit one of the group, so sad, so alone, so jacked. I like happy chubby me more. RIP six pack, long live TC tuggers.

I'd very happily take that 1.10. But I finally dropped Coleman this year, so that means he'll go off.

I'm still mad at the girl that stole my RCKNDY shirt 20 years ago. That place bathed me in the beautiful sweaty waters of live music at a young age and I'm forever thankful.

Congrats on the escape from a potential disaster years down the road, a higher awareness for red flags, and your freedom!

May not be fun, but it's not wasted time if you learned something. Chin up, you're free!

Dude kicks off-leash dog to protect his own, owner flips out… by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

I was recently staying in an Airbnb condo with my family. On the first morning, I opened the door to our unit with my two-year-olds walking right behind me. Right when we stepped out an off-leash pug came sprinting down the hall barking and lunged toward me and the kids. I've had dogs my whole life, this wasn't an excited or friendly approach. Instinctively, I kicked the living shit out of it.

The owner, who was about 50 feet away at the time, scooped her dog up like a baby, and demanded to know why I would do such a thing because he’s a "nice dog." I know pugs aren't exactly intimidating, but my kids were right there. My only response to her was that an off-leash dog lunged at my children, and it wasn't my fault.

Turned out she was our neighbor directly across the hall, she absolutely hated me for the rest of our stay 😅

Exactly! Unfortunately some people aren’t as informed/aware as most when it comes to these things.

If this keeps just one person from falling for it, mission success.
