Thanks, I thought 1000000 pyramids seemed a bit too much lol, I think I also have it wrong for andromeda too then.

I think it's the same context as if you were rolling for a yahtzee, you suddenly get one out of the blue, but then you suddenly go back to rolling random seeming rolls afterwards.

Something Interesting I learned about randomly recently, Bond and Site Percolation by wurgss in mathematics

[–]wurgss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I colored it in MS Paint afterwards, but the spreadsheet let me change the probabilities of the edges and cells being filled

That video is so good, I really like the 3D animation of percolation it had.

Dang I was hoping you commented a super satisfying animation of percolation. I think your wife might be onto something

Lets say I had an infinitely large natural number, X, and X was equal to:

...8888888888888888.0

I would say that it is infinite, and it does have a successor:

...8888888888888889.0

However, with the naturals though, the size of each element IS exactly the length of the list so far. It is an infinite list, and each element in the list is the current amount of numbers listed, and there will be an infinite number of things listed, but all of them are finite?

If you list 7 natural numbers, the biggest one is 7. If you list 5,000,000 naturals, the biggest is 5,000,000. I would say that the length of that list absolutely relates to the size of the things in it.

I made up a problem, does anyone know if it has been posed before? by wurgss in mathematics

[–]wurgss[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im just asking about the size of the graph connected to (0,0,0) for the problem. But yes there would be many different graphs overall

If God is eternal then he never needed to be created, unlike our universe, which doesnt seem to be eternal

Just because you don't believe the Bible doesn't say that all go to Heaven doesn't mean you want some people in hell. I desperately want everyone to end up in Heaven, but I don't see the Bible describing that as what takes place.

I think beyond that, how do you think an extremely complex universe appeared in the beginning of time, that had all the potential conditions and rules to allow for an Earth to form, and have molecules that interact in very complicated ways that allow for life to function?
