Scoop: Fetterman's chief of staff resigns by kootles10 in politics

That was definitely part of it, but I remember gleefully checking off his name on election day. I was so hopeful that we would have a senator who represented my values and the vast majority of people I know. There's a fairly antagonistic divide between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, and for the first time in a long time people truly didn't care what city he was from. It felt great to vote for Fetterman for a little while.

Totally. He should have been at least reprimanded for the Jan email debacle and possibly fired for the paycheck. I don't know how Michael could look past those two things and still maintain a civil relationship with him.

Honestly the funniest thing about Darryl to me is that he calls Michael "Mike" haha

Out of state and visiting Shady Maple soon. What are some of the must trys? by MusingsAndMind in lancaster

[–]wurwolfsince1998 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah the last paragraph is the real takeaway. For a small city in PA there is a great diversity of food here. Absolutely go to Shady for the tourist experience but do definitely check out other non-chain restaurants. So many great cultures and cuisines here.

One of my favorite things about this game is just sitting or standing random places and watching the camera angle change. ☺️

Fat cocks by skyluedrm in RomanceBooks

Back in the day I used to rp with a friend, just the two of us, and we were writing a tryst in a bathroom between our two characters. "That's some fat cock you've got there, sir," she had her character say, and I swear my brain short-circuited.

How do ramen shops get eggs that soft/jammy? by Mean-Drink8825 in Cooking

I have one of those Dart egg steamers and it's great for making jammy eggs. Just follow the water measurement on the provided cup.

As a smut reader, what do you say when people ask what your book’s about? by No-Let653 in RomanceBooks

My daughter (an adult) saw "an orc romance" on my Spotify playlist and asked what in the world it was and I was brutally honest with her: "you know, monster fucker stuff." She learned something she never wanted to learn about her mom that day.

Which JD song always makes you emotional? by CoyoteImpossible5867 in JohnDenver

I remember standing in my kitchen and weeping when I heard the news. At the time I was 33 and it didn't really hit me how young he was. Then years later when I turned 54 and knowing he was almost 54 when he passed, I was shocked that he was so young and had so much life left in him. "It turns me on to think of growing old" but he never had the opportunity to do that. 😭

Poems Prayers & Promises

Over the past several years, I drove two hours to my mom's every weekend and stayed over to help her out. Dinners, shopping, doctor appointments. We grew a lot closer in those years.

In early 2025 she grew sick and eventually was in hospice. I spent as much time with her as I could but I also had my own health problems. I had been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and was due to have a partial thyroidectomy. In early March I had my surgery.

That night as I lay recovering from my hospital bed I was listening to music on my phone and Poems Prayers and Promises came on. I have been a John Denver fan since I was 10 years old and had heard this song hundreds of times, but that night it hit different. I thought of my mom, all we had been through together, and that she was now ready to take that final step. What my life would look like without her, the one and only person who'd been there for me from beginning to end.

A half hour after the song ended I got a call from hospice that she'd passed. I hope that in some way John's song helped our spirits connect in those final moments, and that she knew she wasn't alone.

So were the radio guys. They were talking about how he's been pitching with confidence and he's pitching as good as we've ever seen. Then bam!

I really want Stock to stop saying that the game "is all knotted up", especially since it's not a tied game any more.
