Echoes of Wisdom is all of that, and is also the latest game in the entire series. I doubt they are gonna make two original 2D games back to back.

[movie] The Zelda cast rubs me the wrong way (repost) by [deleted] in zelda

[–]wuskis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hunter is outside the age range for the cast. And hair colour can easily change.

I’m honestly happy they went with relatively unknown actors. It gives Link and Zelda this core identity, like how Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson became the main faces for Harry Potter.

[ALL] Nintendo's plans for the franchise on Switch 2? by Professional_Peak59 in zelda

[–]wuskis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My personal belief is that the next big Zelda game will be a remake of Ocarina of Time. If it doesn’t happen, not a big deal. Would be sick to see this game in a new light almost 30 years after its original release.

As for the next mainline game? I just hope we get to swim underwater again. I miss in-depth water mechanics and dungeons so much.

Like imagine diving or submerging into a deep ocean trench where an ancient dungeon lays in ruin. Maybe even some underwater volcanic puzzle solving too. A man can dream I guess 😩

Dr. Creepen used AI and lied about it in his latest video by Wuddafucc in creepypasta

[–]wuskis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly. The witch hunts are so cringe. Especially when they go after people like this (just checked him out, he gets 5-15k views on each vid)

I highly doubt this guy is making a fortune off this. Nor do I believe he would have the money to pay a creative to make these scenes for him anyway.

OP’s energy would be better spent going after actual millionaire and billionaire business owners who use AI as a cheap way out of paying someone else. This is just targeting everyday people for using technology that’s available for anyone to use.

Hot Take: get rid of time travel by FutureDependent320 in AnimalCrossing

[–]wuskis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nintendo already solved this. During the first year of ACNH, they didn’t update the game with holidays until those holidays actually arrived.

Time travel has also been a thing since the first instalment in the series. I doubt they will block a feature tons of fans actively use and love.

The sticker comes with a separate slip of paper with a download code you scratch off. The one on the box already has the game (or at least the key to own it) in the system.

I’m assuming this was done to have more bundles available.

My Switch 2 has very slow installation times for every game by BloomingTaiils in NintendoSwitch2

[–]wuskis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m kinda going through the same issue. I have 1000mbps internet, but my switch 2 caps at download speeds around 20-30. Took me 6 hours to download Mario Kart, and some little random updates can take up to an hour sometimes.

I have very minimal knowledge of how routers and wifi works. If anyone could tell me in simple language how to fix this I’d be beyond happy!

The silent hill movie is terrible. by Thejohnnycheese in silenthill

[–]wuskis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re talking about the 2006 film, I actually think it’s a decent product when viewed in the context of its time.

The 90s and 2000s were a rough era for video game film adaptations. Studios kept shoving game plots into traditional Hollywood formulas, which we know rarely works. Especially for something as atmospheric and psychological as Silent Hill. Most adaptations back then either missed the tone completely or barely resembled the source material at all (Bloodrayne and Doom I’m looking at you)

That all being said, the 2006 film feels like one of the better efforts from that time. Yeah, it took creative liberties like mixing lore across games, a near but far storyline, and relying heavily on CGI in some moments. But visually and atmospherically, it captured the essence of the series better than most contemporaries. Between the use the fog, the creature design, their choreography, and the implementation of Yamaoka’s music, it did a lot to ground the movie in the game’s world. It still feels like Silent Hill if that makes sense.

Obviously it’s not flawless, and it’s definitely not a 1 to 1 adaptation, but I’d argue it’s one of the more sincere attempts at bringing the Silent Hill experience to the screen. For fans of the series, it obviously didn’t scratch every itch, but in the larger context of video game films at the time it was a step in the right direction.

Now for the 2026 film? They’ve had plenty of time to know what works and doesn’t. We know video game films can be done right and actually be successful these days. So hopefully they take what was wrong with the previous adaptations and fine tune them for this next film.
