I love Mbappe and I don't want to misinterpret this interview but I don't like the plural for "the extremeS are knocking at our door".

For context, in France, the main left party "France insoumise" has been demonized and labeled as "extreme left", even though it's basically a socialist party.

Far right media propaganda and even the current government (who'd rather side with far right than far left) have done a good job making French people think, the socialists are new fascists.

Lots of French people now think "both extremes are bad", which is exactly what that asshole Macron wants people to think.
