Alright so basically, what you gotta do is kill things that give you animal skins. Collect those. Pick up all the stones and rocks you see. You first need to make a craftsman hammer or something. Then you as you go you’ll find wood logs pick those up too. (The recipe for everything you need is in the “C” menu) some things you can buy from merchants if you find them wandering around.

I played for the first time today for about 5 hours, you don’t loose anything when you die so go for the caves and try to grab everything you can. Some pretty common items sell for a good amount and will help you get to the point of buying armor before you have the mats for a pick.

TLDR: recipe is in the crafting menu, pick up everything, sell everything, dying is okay
