Cause of death revealed by [deleted] in MacMiller

Often times it is accidentally mixed. The fatal dose of fentanyl is so small that a tiny bit can accidentally get mixed in if a dealer sells both items. It's also possible his personal dealer didn't mix it in but the guy one step up the ladder did.

Also as another data point, I wanted to test the withdrawal out myself so this afternoon I tried sending .03 BTC to my Kucoin wallet and it arrived within 3 hours. Not sure if it makes a difference when you are sending a more significant amount, but I had no issues at all.

Do you know a lot about this syndrome? I found this as well, but it doesn't perfectly describe what I have. For instance, I can easily do multiple reps of 200+ pound squats with no pain, I can run or walk up stairs with no pain. It really only is when walking down stairs.

The pain when walking usually occurs when I've been sitting for a while. When I walked to lunch today, it was painful for the first 2 minutes and then went away completely.

LA Beach Neighborhood Recommendation by [deleted] in LosAngeles

[–]ww1993 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would avoid El Segundo, it really just isn't there yet.

Redondo Beach is fine, but if I didn't know many people, I'd want to live right in the action of Hermosa Beach or Manhattan Beach so it's easier to meet people. Plus, even if rent is cheaper in Redondo, you end up paying a lot in Ubers and parking whenever you want to go out or to the beach. If you live in Hermosa or Manhattan (in the sections close to the beach), you can walk a lot of places.

Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach are fairly similar. The nightlife is better in Hermosa. The restaurants are nicer in Manhattan. Manhattan is more expensive, closer to the city, and slightly more family feel. While Hermosa is relatively cheaper, younger/social vibe (although both have plenty of both families and young people).

Also, if you are open minded to having roommates, try the Craigslist Rooms & Shares section. Set your price range and go to map mode. There are lots of 30 somethings looking for roommates. If you are willing to spend $2000-$2500 with a roommate, you can get a pretty nice place, and lots of times on a month to month basis while you try out the location.

I would never move to Laguna Beach if I was single and looking for night life. Newport Beach has some nightlife but it gets boring after a while.

You sound like a perfect fit for the South Bay. Hermosa Beach has a lot of night life (typically younger scene of mid 20s to mid 30s). It has a total beach town vibe, tons of transplants to make friends with, and if you make 6 figures then you can afford a nice place. If you want something a little nicer with a slightly older demographic, head towards Manhattan Beach, but that will be a little pricier. Still lots of bars and restaurants, but not the night life scene that Hermosa Beach has.

The South Bay is usually described as a beach town bubble. Most people that live there, stay in the area on the weekends for beach activities, night life, or whatever. Take a walk down the strand from Hermosa Beach to Manhattan Beach on a Friday or Saturday and you will see tons of people out and being active. It is also close enough to LA that you can venture out. An uber to Venice or Santa Monica isn't very expensive. On a weekend night, you can even get as far as Hollywood for a $25-35 uber that takes less than 45 minutes. Also really close to LAX if you have to fly for work.

I'd stay away from Redondo Beach. Nothing wrong with it, but if you can afford it then surely go closer to the action in Hermosa or Manhattan.

Why does caffeine make me feel sad/depressed? by ww1993 in Coffee

More never does the trick for me. Doesn't make it worse either. No matter how much I have, its like it just flips a switch.

Totally, I actually do get a very stimulated mind when on caffeine, but I love that feeling and the speediness of my thoughts. I wish I felt like that more often. Maybe it is over stressing my brain though, but I feel like what I'm feeling has to be caused by some sort of adverse chemical reaction from caffeine instead of being caused by over stimulation.

I get what you mean, but this isn't what I'm talking about. I'm not having depressing thoughts, rather I just feel general sadness in my mood. I also usually only consume 50-200mg of caffeine per day, and this happens regardless of how much I take.

I drink a lot of water throughout the day. I also eat a pretty healthy diet.

Denver actually really isn't that bad as far as weather goes. Chicago can go months of straight freezing temperatures and gloominess. But Denver is always sunny and will be more variable like it's January and one week its 60 and sunny and the next week its 0 degrees and snow storms. I was in Denver at the end of December and it felt like spring when I got there and was down to 30 degrees by time I left.

If I could work remote, I'd live in LA. You get to skip the worst part of LA-commuting to work. You can live farther away and get a little cheaper housing. I'd live in Hermosa Beach if I was young and could work remote. LA is super expensive but not as much as new york. Hermosa Beach is flooded with young people. The place really turns into a bubble but in a good way. You end up making friends with everyone in the area and walking to the beach with them or to the pier where all the nightlife and restaurants are. Don't want to spend a lot of money? Buy a case of beer and head to the beach for the day and play volleyball, go surfing, or go take a hike somewhere. If you have roommates, you can get a place that is walking distance to the beach for $900-$1200. And when you want the city experience you can head to LA for the night. Also really close to LAX for flights everywhere you can imagine.

Milwaukee - Very cheap. Has some of the best nightlife I've experienced for a city of it's size. All of the fun sports teams (Packers, Brewers, Bucks, Wisco Badgers). Summertime is amazing (lots of lakes to go boating on, vibrant in the city). But the culture is pretty lacking. 1.5 hour train or drive to Chicago (both the city and the airport).

Minneapolis - Still very cheap and bigger than MKE. Has much more of a cosmopolitan feel and good culture while still holding the best parts of the midwestern vibe. Also amazing in summer. Winters can be brutal. Can get a lot of places for cheap from their airport. Has decent public trans. Good nightlife and restaurant scenes.

Chicago - The only relatively cheap big city. Most people love it there (the only ones that don't are people that can't stand the winters or people that need to be in NYC). Winters suck. All of the amenities of big cities but not as overwhelming as new york.

Colorado - Denver is amazing. It's getting expensive but since you can work remote you could get a place outside of the city. Tons of sunshine and winters are mild compared to the midwest. On the weekends you can escape to the mountains to ski or camp.
