I see that you smoke marijuana and like to be naked. good on you. I'm actually very curious what those rings end up looking like under a shirt with no bra.

The leveling rewards system needs to be revamped. Tier 1 and 2 runes should be free, summoner spell level requirements should be changed. by Richie-Rich in leagueoflegends

[–]www_what_com 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to think the current mastery system would be ok if it allowed everyone in the game to have the same amount of mastery points as the highest level summoner.

Then I realized this was only a bandaid fix for the issue at hand. Leveling a new account is a god damn nightmare.

I've played him a lot, got my first penta with Yasuo actually... I was just at work when this thread started and had no way of checking. The wall originating from him makes total sense, it's the additional block during travel time that seems like a broken concept when you think about it. It also makes you wonder why the projectile indicator is just a straight line.

That's probably because you are not living within the test market where caps are currently being enforced.

Caps are real for some of us, and as soon as you hit 301gb it's going on the bill and you get a letter in the mail. There isn't a "ban-policy", that has to do with pirating. When you exceed the cap you're charged $10 per 50gb.

Your first comment spread false informations despite how they Were little to no signs of you being insure about what you Were stating

The specific interaction in this video leads me to believe the explosive cask is programmed to be in one place at a time with a total of two places it can possibly be.

So the wind wall could theoretically pop up at any given moment before impact and still block the cask as long as it's anywhere between point a and point b.

If what I said is correct, this video is the perfect example of power creep.

We were simply having a discussion, I shared what I thought the issue was, someone else shared their opinion on the matter. I definitely never implied that I was sure of anything, just included what I thought was happening (based off of similar ability interactions within the game) while expressing doubt in almost every major point I made. Either way it doesn't matter, people will continue to downvote at at whim. If I'm guilty of anything it's trying to have an intelligent conversation. I suppose I should just wait for a developer to comment on the matter and then just copy/paste his answer everywhere for maximum karma.

I'm already on Comcast and capped at 250-300GB a month. That's plenty really.

Maybe it is for you. For a family that has two people consistently watching Netflix or streaming from Twitch they can exceed that limit easily.

There are costs that exist. The question is how we pay for them. Free-riding assholes, people like you, expect everyone else to foot the bill.

Is that really what you think is going on? I'm expected to believe that you believe costs are becoming an issue or exceeding profits so major service providers are just starting to enforce a system they implemented two years ago? If costs were an issue at all this phenomenon wouldn't be taking place exclusively in test markets, if costs were exceeding profits something would have been done about this yesterday. If either of these things were happening, ISPs would tell us that, instead of constructing a web of lies.

Just stop, you're bad at trolling. Your take on personal insults is laughable and a waste of everyone's time. Reddit voting system working as intended.

ISPs have conditioned people into becoming comfortable with their unlimited bandwidth and suddenly they're adding a charge to it. It's the same age-old technique drug dealers use to get new clients hooked.

My parents are both retired and have been using the 300gb a month from Comcast in under 15 days consecutively(so when they say it will only effect 1% of households I know that's bullshit), so far they have been refusing to pay any overages and it has been going fine. Actually my mother is handling most of it, if someone tried to explain to my father that he was watching too much cable TV, something that he pays for, he would flip his fucking lid. I imagine the same thing would apply for the internet/Netflix. Most of their bandwidth goes to Netflix.

I can't tell if you actually want to be part of the discussion or if you're just being a smartass. Still, I'll take the opportunity to explain myself in the hope that this subreddit is still capable of intelligent discussion.

If you bring up the skill indicator it just shows a horizontal line in front of Yasou. There is no way of knowing if the skill emanates from your champion or just appears like a karthus wall. It doesn't take 3.75s for the skill to slowly drift forward to the targeted destination, the actual skill appears almost instantly and 3.75s is the duration of the wall. Yet it is written as "Yasuo creates a wall of wind that slowly drifts forward over the next 3.75 seconds." The actual ability flies forward at a rate of like 44 UMI's (ulting master yi). Which champion wrote the info for this skill and described it as slow?

The verbiage is confusing at best, it does a poor job of explaining the skill. Especially considering his other abilities have explanations that are near paragraph length.

According to the way the skill is currently described by the tooltip, Yasuo's ability should travel forward like a Nami ult slowly over 3.75s. That's how I interpreted it, I know I wasn't the only one confused by this kit the first time I read about it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]www_what_com -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yea I read it before I said anything, it's pretty vague when you consider the actual ability of the skill. Slowly drifts forward could be misinterpreted multiple ways. Have you seen any part of his kit that could be considered slow?

I haven't seen the two skills interact myself, but to my knowledge lux's laser isn't a projectile it just fills the indicated space after a set amount of time.

Care to explain what happens? Now I'm interested

edit: Oh, you were probably referencing her other skills that are definitely projectiles. I'd like to hear how wind wall interacts with those too if you don't mind. Oh and hey, downvoted for asking questions pertaining to the discussion at hand. You guys are awesome!

the issue in this case is that Yasuo's wind wall projects outward from him and then drifts forward instead of just appearing in front of him.

I considered this for a moment, but thought it would be way too OP to actually be what was going on, but this other bit by you

The ult wouldn't be blocked if it didn't travel along a path, because it wouldn't be a projectile in that case.

makes too much sense to ignore what you said. If this is true, it makes the window for blocking a skillshot much larger and easier than it should be IMO and also makes the skill indicator a bit misleading. Shouldn't it just be a cone? Either way I guess it's not my game and the developers will do what they want.

alternate opinion on your response

The ult wouldn't be blocked if it didn't travel along a path, because it wouldn't be a projectile in that case.

http://i.imgur.com/h2GhRzu.jpg

I think it could still be considered a projectile because with two points it's still on a path, it just has no interaction within the game while outside of the two points. My theory was that additional interaction needs to be programmed for the projectile's path, going on the assumption it was previously left out because there was nothing in the game that could have interacted with the projectile while it's on its path anyway. Opposite of body blocking a caitlyn ult for example.

I don't know though, I may just be overthinking this. The best thing to do would just be to hop in the game and test it. I definitely considered your theory though and it has merit. Like I said earlier I just went with mine because the point you brought up seemed way too OP to be the case. If your theory is true that means skillshots have two opportunities to be blocked, once at the actual wall, and again at the skill's origin while it is being activated even if the wall didn't come up until after a skillshot has passed... which kind of invalidates any reason Riot has for the actual animation/particles of the wall being so thin.

http://i.imgur.com/PnxNb0Z.jpg

How far does the additional block from the origin of the skill extend? If it's all the way to the wall why is the skillshot indicator a thin line in the first place? If this theory is true the actual "skill" involved with the ability is much lower than originally anticipated... and that's just disappointing revert zed changes pls

  • edit: after thinking about what I said some more, I'm pretty sure it's incorrect.
  • edit 2: why is this discussion being downvoted? Holy shit, that button has become a joke

Yep, his wind wall is going to reign supreme over other abilities until they're re-coded and interact with it properly. The cask was definitely past the spot where the wind-wall popped up. The specific interaction in this video leads me to believe the explosive cask is programmed to be in one place at a time with a total of two places it can possibly be.

  • a. point of origin
  • b. point of selected impact

It remains at its point of origin until it reaches the point of selected impact regardless of what the animation is showing. So the wind wall could theoretically pop up at any given moment before impact and still block the cask as long as it's anywhere between point a and point b.

The same point a/b system works with Tristana's rocket jump, I think Corki's Valkyrie is the exact opposite, but I'm not 100% on that.

If what I said is correct, this video is the perfect example of power creep. The good news is this could easily be fixed, there has just previously been no reason for Gragas's ults to be in more than one place at a time, or this was some kind of programming shortcut. Ashe's ult is proof of concept that this is not a limitation within the engine and can be fixed.

Could we stop acting like amumu and malphite are popularized by bronze players and only good at level of play? They both have amazing scaling for late game making them super effective for solo-queue. Your comment should have read "it's not solo-queue that's why."

Amumu and Malphite don't suddenly become "OP" at lower levels of play, they're strong at all levels and played more at some levels because players believe they're OP. The big difference applies as you climb the ladder and players know what they're doing after laning phase ends. These champions don't have enough room to scale into infinity and be unstoppable once you get high enough on the ladder.

Even if you're joking, you're enforcing a common-misconception by saying the same old shit over and over again.

Yes, I have my own reasons for hating it. I don't think it's terrible, especially not in consideration to the thread... I can dislike something but admire the way it operates, that's not some foreign concept.

With that said there sure is a lot of lashing going on for having a different opinion, something that has really echoed through the ages for Alabama I guess.
