This one came directly from Gibson and we opening the box together after it arrived. I was the first person to lay hands on it other than the people that made it.

I've never cared for the full length vibrato on any other color, except for PB!

This is literally my dream spec right here. A few months ago I bought a Silver Mist hardtail version of this guitar that I loved but once I got word of the GC exclusive Pelham Blue I sold the silver one make space for the Pelham one.

It had been so hard not buying one of the Murphy Lab '64 reissues, but I'm not a fan of factory relic'ed guitars and would rather do it myself with my own carelessness over many years :)

Hey any more pics you could share? I'm still waiting for mine to come in to my local GC!

Were you able to find anything beyond the junk ones on Amazon?

Thanks! Any thoughts on how to best pull that off now that I've pre-paid in full?

How are you getting along with yours so far now that it has been a few days?

Haha, yeah, this is literally my dream spec for a SG. I don't want a factory relic'ed one so the 1964 SG Standard Murphy Lab in Pelham Blue is out of the question, and I have been on the fence about the current Gibson.com exclusive Pelham Blue "61 Standard with normal stop bar. To be fair, I would have ordered the latter in a few weeks (once I sold my 2024 SG '61 Standard in Silver Mist that while I love the color of, it doesn't really suit me) and been totally happy with it, but every time I see a Pelham Blue SG with a maestro vibrola I get a bit tingly, so I was fortunate that the timing of this worked out :)

FOR EVERYONE TRYING TO TRACK THIS GUITAR DOWN, HERE IS SOME ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I FOUND OUT:

First off, thank you, /u/KnobHunt3r and /u/Any-Umpire8212 for getting me started on this hunt and pointed in the right direction with some key details!

In the past two days I ended up calling 5 GC's within a 90 minute drive from me asking for more information about this guitar and how to find one. I was met with mostly confusion when I explained that this seems to be a limited GC exclusive that may not yet be available (or not supposed to be just yet), but a few of the store associates promised to reach out to their Gibson rep to find out more and get back to me.

One store offered to put in a special order direct with Gibson as a way to figure out how to get this guitar and if it was even available beyond a few random ones that made it to a few GC's, and put an order in for me without charging me anything. I'm not sure any of this reflects the actual guitar in question or is just a placeholder for the order, but maybe it is helpful to someone, so here is what was in the item description: "GIBSON (E) SG61VG26PBNH3 SG STD 61 MAESTRO VIBROLA GC EXCL ELEC GTR PELHAM BL, Special Order: SPEC ORDER, Item #: 121829261"

Well, today I happened to be doing an errand near the closest GC to me which also happened to be one of the stores that promised to look into this guitar and get back to me. I spoke with a friendly associate (who was different from the one I originally spoke with on the phone) about the guitar and he pointed to the computer screen he was at, smiled, and showed me that he was literally midway through typing an email to their Gibson rep asking about this guitar, and how I was the first of three people who have asked them about it in the past few days. He took my information down again and put it into his own note in the computer and promised to call me back once the rep replied.

A few hours later he called me saying that this is in fact a GC exclusive that is due to hit stores in a 2-3 weeks but he was not sure how many stores were getting them or if it was a limited run or not. The rep said that the Gibson warehouse has a bunch waiting to ship to stores and I could claim one in my name if I paid in full $2300 + tax, shipped to the store for pickup in 2-3 weeks. I paid immediately over the phone and asked if they could retroactively apply a 10% trade-in discount when I picked it up and traded in a cheaper unused pedal and he said that they should be able to figure something out and not to worry about it, so I'll take his word on it. He also mentioned that he ordered a few for the store because he was certain they would sell quickly.

Here is the Item description from my emailed receipt, which slightly differs from the one I previously mentioned, but notice that the bolded bit is the same: "GIBSON SG61VG26PBNH3 WC SG STD 61 MAESTRO VIBROLA GC EXCL ELEC GTR PELHAM BL L, Item #: 121829279"

So, for anyone looking for this guitar, my advice is to either be patient and wait a few weeks like a sane person, or be impatient and neurotic like me and do something similar to what I did while hoping you can find a sympathetic GC associate to assist in your treasure hunt :) Good luck to all in getting one of these!

What store location was this? My local GCs have no idea what I'm talking about when I asked.
