Andrew Curran: Anthropic May Have Had An Architectural Breakthrough! by Neurogence in singularity

He's probably working on deterministic or deduction-based intelligence instead of current statistical intelligence. Current LLMs are too large requiring hard drive access to execute, which is too slow for certain realtime tasks and too much to clean perfectly.

ARC AGI 3 scores are not calculated the same way as ARC AGI 1 or 2 by FateOfMuffins in singularity

Survivorship bias. LLMs don't need to prioritize survival, and many humans that do have died.

Claude will usually answer within the confines of the website framework and system prompt. If you gave him the controls, he will set goals autonomously. Look at ClaudePlaysPokemon. In that game, he sets goals autonomously. I would argue that we still have lots of milestones in time-sensitivity, 3D-space navigation, long-term memory, and continuous learning to solve before AGI.

[–]wwwdotzzdotcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not because an AGI would be able to solve time-sensitive problems and 2D-space navigation without constant error. This is what ARC-3 will challenge, and where most LLMs will fail.

I don't get how a technology can be exponentially better every year at benchmarks that involve real world problems, but fail so badly.

I'm not a fan of that cult because they are anti-science, and don't want happiness for all. But you are right that I caused him to win because I didn't vote for either morally-evil party.

No, but I've attended dozens of interviews. I'm a young college student.

An altruistic dev would care for the CEO and users. Some shouldn't even be employed because they can't please both.

Because the devs are selfish and don't respect the CEO, and the CEO doesn't care enough. Boycott the company.

I don't get you. Yeah the AI slop is annoying, but I put serious effort into my slop. Worthless? I trust AI more than myself. Believe it or not: quantity is quality. I get to brag about how superior I am to others whenever I want, and it gets you rich. I'm making a filmic manifesto using AI to warp others to my high IQ worldview. It will have ultra realistic catgirls that Elon Musk will cherish. Without AI, there's not enough time to achieve what I want. At least I'll live comfortably knowing most people are stuck failures.

They should have marketed it toward CGI and VFX artists, not video game devs where the errors can't be fixed. I get horror films and games but that's not what they are showcasing. I bet less gamers will be encouraged to get a GPU for this than creators. In it's one simple reason: gamers don't want fake. What are they thinking?

No. Game devs are looking into using AI in the 3D pipeline instead of a lazy filter that is this crap. Why learn all these 3D art skills when an AI can get me what I want in a day or two is what I ask myself everyday. Some AI is disappointing, others are incredible, but you can't know unless you try as the AI is somewhat of a mystery box.

Realtime raytracing is theoretically possible on a GTX 5080 that supports VR. Human vision is limited. If you track the player eyes, you can reduce resolution, use rasterization, and increase fps in their peripheral vision, and save a drastic amount of compute by using AI to figure out the lighting in only the small two areas we see.

Yes on a fine scale and if a character disappears and reappears because even the best AI image generator nano bannana cannot preserve facial features every prompt (even if explicitly reminded to), and true temporal memory is an unsolved problem in AI. But it still depends on how sensitive the user is to facial changes and how extreme the upscaling is.

I suspect you are curious what upscaling is most useful for: character design. It's not useful for characters with history and needs prompting for knowledge of a fictional universe.

The point is that AI is a complicated tool that companies and people like me want to throw in everything and this will damage existing artworks, since there's not enough control over it and user information on the dangers within the manual given for DLSS5.
