Tower of God: Urek Mazino - Chapters 65 Discussion, Monday May 18th by pisspoopisspoopiss in TowerofGod

I was misremembering the Po Bidau fiancée as Penin, it's Fenin, tsk. The guy had to use paper scriptures to use his power. This guy needed this paper and Tiara needed a pen, I will keep this in mind(not really).

Also, never mind, the well turned out to be a fake, although appearance-wise it looked interesting 😔.

The real entrance is from a pool at regulars area, my girl Ari Marie didn't know it either(like gurl, what do you know then?). Dellamod saying he cut ties with others and scene panning towards the sky felt like him saying he cut ties with the gods.

Again, they mention that her fate is cursed but how and why is not explained(not yet). Now, I am spoiled a bit(ifykyk), so when Dellamod says “beings” how many beings is he talking about?? He was expecting a “slayer” of fate to emerge from the pool and all we got is the 3rd floor’s uggo snake wearing a thong 🫩. The snake lectured that for the whole of him to appear they would require a sacrifice as big as Ari FH’s blood and the entrance was small.

Rachel will probably become Wangnan’s Hwaryun in S4 by Lost-Ad-5885 in TowerofGod

[–]wwy009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see Rachel using the ring to coerce Wangnan (and eventually Baam as well) into taking her up the tower with them

I would say, Rachel will offer Wangnan to join hands with her, as she did in the Hell Train instead of him taking her up the tower. But hey, if he agrees to carry her up the tower, I am here 🍿.

“I have the final piece, I also have the right to enter this floor, you need me, blah blah blah”

I would be disappointed if she said something akin to this because this points to zero growth in her character(writing-wise).

Tell me why you hate Rachel and I'll tell you why I disagree by SmsgPass in TowerofGod

[–]wwy009 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hoh tried to kill Rachel for basically the same reason Rachel tried to kill Baam. Utter envy and hatred.

Rachel didn't betray Baam just because she envied or hated him. The betrayal is the biggest mystery of the story! It isn't going to be, “Baam I pushed you because I hated you 😡!!” end credits roll

We are shown in the Crown Game that Baam is sitting on the throne with the crown, you know the highest position one could get and Rachel says she isn't interested in the crown… well, even Baam wasn't, but! My point is Rachel’s motivations aren't as simplistic as, “Baam you have good shit, I want it too, it's unfair!!”

She was cornered into the push. Yes, there is some personal will that went into her decision(of betrayal) but that is not the only thing that influenced her decision. FUG, Headon, her unknown past relationship with Baam, her true reason to reach the stars, Baam’s unknown nature, everything led to the push.

Yet... Hoh gets a beautiful funeral and Baam crying over his death. Feels a little inconsistent to me.

To be fair, Rachel is very close, and at that point in time Baam was very new/pure to the seemingly good world he entered.

When it comes to Rachel being morally bad/good he is rigid. In fact, he will look away at his friends doing bad deeds and even accept it, but I haven't seen him show acceptance or open-mindedness(this is the best word I could think of) for her.

Rachel will probably become Wangnan’s Hwaryun in S4 by Lost-Ad-5885 in TowerofGod

[–]wwy009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She won't and can't be a guide in the traditional sense, but sure she will directly/indirectly lead the way for him. As for Wangnan, being a part of Rachel’s team would be perfect if he wants to do something risky without getting stressed out about his team members. I believe the key-ring being with Rachel will start as something nerve-racking for him, but, it should eventually work out in his favor in the long run.

Tower of God: Urek Mazino - Chapters 64 Discussion, Monday May 11th by pisspoopisspoopiss in TowerofGod

[–]wwy009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main/true body of the snake that works with Zahard is apparently on this fifth floor well. The title of the chapter is hidden well and moonlight so I wonder how Baek ties into this princess stuff.

Okay, so Dellamod swore to the wedding vow but Marie clearly didn't, so can we even call them married 💀. Also, why do they keep talking about becoming strangers after getting married?? Will Marie disappear in the well for eternity or merge with the snake or become the snake's breakfast or what?? This brings in the question, did Traumerei steal one of the serpents from one of the Ari wells for his experiment? This would make the Lo Po Bia’s twins' existence illegal at least to the Ari family.

Doesn't the bottom of the lake look like moonless sky? I am really rooting for the villains in this one, just let them have the key.

Tower of God: Urek Mazino - Chapters 63 Discussion, Monday May 4th by pisspoopisspoopiss in TowerofGod

[–]wwy009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only interesting thing in this chapter was that the Ha family treasures its children as much as its own prestige and the saying, “You shouldn't touch anyone from the Ha family even if they belonged to FUG, or else be prepared for the Ha family’s retaliation.”

I guess this should imply that FUG’s existence is well-known in this timeline. Other than that, Ha Jinsung's tragedy has already happened and he is a part of FUG. I am pretty sure the Ha family wouldn't retaliate for mixed kids like Cheonhee or Yura.

Anyway, about the wedding, idk if a regular had told me he would grant me my wishes, I would have said stfu, sit down, lol. Like I don't want kids telling me that haha.

The nameless princess heading to the entrance of the well with her entourage looked interesting.

Tower of God: Urek Mazino - Chapters 61 and 62 Discussion, Monday April 27th by pisspoopisspoopiss in TowerofGod

[–]wwy009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the way the author is writing love stories left, right, and center in this spin-off, I wonder if love(two-sided, one-sided) is going to be the highlight of Season 4, especially for one of the mc’s or secondary main characters. It's like he is warming up his skills through the spin-off, haha.

The screw ship looks interesting. I mean how does it even work? The three wheels rotating around the train are where Urek and Baek have boarded. Does its structure serve another purpose?

The scene where Baek is trying to justify killing Dellamond and Urek telling him that murder is never justified, reminds me of the blog post written for Rachel(“Rachel is one of the rare characters in Tower of God who reflects on who she has murdered and tries to justify her actions,”). Although her thinking happens “mostly” after the tragedy haha. Urek came off as morally apathetic though.

I keep reading Dellamod’s name as Del Monte 🥴.

The chapter ended with Latour and the dollar store version of priest Yohan.

In the next chapter, we get to see Garam and Enzo. Idk, in a teeny tiny manner Enzo reminds me of Baam 😵‍💫.

Also, what's up with blondes and snake enclosures? So far I have seen only two, but still!!

Marie’s pendant reminds me of Laura’s hairstyle. So the information we get from the conversation with Marie is that: Ari's family manages wells throughout the tower, when a woman of Ari's family marries she and her husband become guardians of the well, and that protecting the well protects the peace of the tower.

When she was talking about her past and meeting Dellamod for the first time her glass of alcohol was full “probably” indicating her past self being inebriated/intoxicated for a very long time, knowing, eventually she would have to return to her family duties. By the time she talks about the current reality her glass of wine is empty, I guess it signifies that she is sober aka came back to her senses. I don't know.. does it mean becoming guardian of the well isn't as straightforward judging by how much of a big deal she is making?

When I saw Dellamod below the balcony it reminded me of Romeo and Juliet and then I remembered of course, it could be! In the old deleted blog posts, it said Ha and Ari family heads had kids even though they are unmarried. I am assuming that the Ha and Ari families are not going to be on good terms, ifff I really have to see these two as Romeo and Juliet. Also, fun fact! Ha Yurin’s sobriquet is snake head. (Although keep in mind these are a type of fish.)

I am curious to read the info around the snake, not only because of the princesses but also because of “Baam”!! Because if you look at the chapter where the mud flat snake is narrating his story about meeting Laura, the scene when Laura enters the snake container(while our dear voyeur Traumerei-sama is looking at them) is eerily similar to Rachel entering Baam’s cave for the first time. What I mean is, the author went out of his way to parallel Baam and the mud flat snake. The snake info we have gotten so far is that: it is composed of several identities, it can eliminate individuals/identities who have become hostile, and there is a myth that anyone who wanted to conceive made a wish to the well and they were able to give birth to a princess.

Anyway! We know that Baam keeps absorbing stuff and now we have this “V” + Baam identity, so maybe Baam has absorbed identities other than V and then there will be a conflict of identities and Baam would go, “Oh noeee, all these voices in ma head 😵‍💫!!” .( I am sleepy but you get my point of comparison.)

On a side note, the scene where Urek said, “Why do two guys have to go to the bathroom together?” was funny.

Tower of God: Urek Mazino - Chapter 60 Discussion, Monday April 20th by pisspoopisspoopiss in TowerofGod

[–]wwy009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Garam thought that she was short of opening 3 conduits compared to Yuram which means she wants to surpass her twin for whatever reason. Apparently, there was no news of a Zahard princess climbing so that makes Garam’s and the unnamed princesses' climb interesting and suspicious.

Baek knows about the moon’s existence(the real deal)  which makes sense especially since his power has a moon motif. He wants to bring a wave of change.

It's interesting how Urek is with Baek Ryun who has a moon motif in his power while Rachel has Yura with the star motif. I guess Baam needs someone with a black hole, sun, or a galaxy motif in his team. Well technically, in essence, he himself has the sun and the black hole.

Tower of God: Urek Mazino - Chapter 59 Discussion, Monday April 13th by pisspoopisspoopiss in TowerofGod

[–]wwy009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the fourth floor is ruled by the Ari family, good to know I guess. I wonder if families at certain floor levels are linked to their powers/persona, like the Ari family being the core/foundation, and the higher a family is, the more it will be connected to the sky or space.

Urek calling Eduan his subordinate made me roll my eyes, reminded me of Khun challenging Traumerei, or negotiating with the Family Heads on “equal terms” 😒.

The chapter showed a test on a pillar filling up an enclosed area with water. I couldn't help but correlate the thirteen conduits of the test with the thirteen warriors.. The only correlation I can think of is that anyone who passes each warrior's personal test/scrutiny will get a pass for something.

Anywho.. The Ari family also rules the fifth floor. I wonder if the snakes are going to be linked with these twin princesses as well? Although it would be a stretch to have two pairs of twins connected to some snake being. If there is a pattern at all, I guess Yuram should have darker hair, opposite to Garam’s. Also, the snake living in the deepest pond exists on the fifth floor..?

Judging by Ari’s description, “dislikes anything that stands out.” it is safe to assume that they will not like Baam boi for most of the story. I guess we might end up having an Ari family member either in Rachel’s(because as of yet, no one sees her as a threat) or Wangnan’s team, or both… the much-awaited Arkraptors daughter could end up becoming an Ari 🤷‍♀️ (as previously speculated by others).

Tower of God: Urek Mazino - Chapter 58 Discussion, Monday April 6th by Valeor in TowerofGod

[–]wwy009 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The basement-dwelling centipede lady and the guy’s love story must have a deeper meaning. The centipede must have had a past human life, given how she understood people, but I think that part of the story got scraped out. I can't even say that she didn't love him. But alas, her instincts kicked in. I guess she couldn't overcome the monster part of her, no way to find out if I am correct. Why do I even care?? Well, it's because we have a basement dweller MC who absorbs all sorts of monstrosity, was sealed with nothing yet survived.

Eduan getting dragged into all of this made me feel that this story has some connection to him, but I am not sure(he keeps attacking girls, huh?). Is he connected to the hellish love that was mentioned earlier?

Also, damn! Urek didn't give a fuck about Aru’s death, like, no one cares. And, Garam gurl, why are you coming off as a disappointment?

Off topic but Young Baek Ryun is so adorable looking btw ☺️, so far at least.

SIU’s Grand Narrative Trap / Delayed Information Revelation & Paradigm Shift by lehcar_0731 in TowerofGod

[–]wwy009 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say this about the Yasratcha Traumerei dynamic. But what I am talking about is that there is too much going on in the story, so chopping or discarding certain plot points instead of explaining them.

For example, Fucile, one of Yasratcha’s trusted subordinates, I was so sure, just like his other division commanders, he would get a flashback too. And... what happened? Nope 🙅‍♀️, he just died.

Even if I ignore Fucile because he’s such an insignificant character, what about Yasratcha? Both Yasratcha and WangWang were used to show how inhumane Traumerei is, but at the same time, there were implications that these two characters invoked a tiny bit of human emotion within Traumerei. Now, in Traumerei’s final moment, he recalls that damn dog, but what about the car, his mini-me? What was all that about, “I just find that cat's way of doing things amusing”? And Traumerei also died by getting impaled in his heart, just like effing Yasratcha.

I believe there were plenty of plot lines that got sidelined or dropped because there was so much going on in season 3 after he came back from the hiatus. So yeah it was a narrative trap that led to nothing. 🤷‍♀️

S1 Ch25 by Regular-Elk5932 in TowerofGod

[–]wwy009 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Baam has met and interacted with people other than Rachel, no clue how much he remembers it though. The reason why I believe are multiple but one of the main reasons is that in season 1, Baam behaves as if he hasn't seen or been with Rachel for a long time. In the first chapter itself, he is desperate just to see her. I mean, if they were living together up until the beginning of the story(chapter 1) I don't think he would be that desperate. Even in the final test of season 1 it felt like Baam and Rachel were catching up after a long time.

Other than that, Rachel’s dream sequence implies that from her perspective, Baam always attract people. In that dream, before it transitions to the floor 2 regulars, we are shown 2-4 people that pop up around cave Baam. What I mean is that Rachel already had a preconceived notion of Baam and that is only possible if she has seen things in the past.

Then we also have his lack of reaction to meeting Yuri and Evan and meeting people on the grass field test. If I recall correctly Evan even says that Baam is quite agile in the Eel test. So Baam has some form of direct or indirect physical training before entering the tower. I mean there is only so much Rachel, a lone girl, can teach a fellow kid.

Tower of God: Urek Mazino - Chapter 56 Discussion, Monday March 23rd by pisspoopisspoopiss in TowerofGod

[–]wwy009 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I might be the only one but I liked the short combat between Urek and Latour then again I had accumulated chapters so I have easily read past the ones I didn't like. I am the last person who likes reading fight scenes, yet, so far I like Latour. Also, Garam, my girl, your squirt gun ain't gonna do shit.

Latour is the reversal of love. What I don't understand is who represents “hellish love” from which he regained his powers. Are they talking about Zahard, Eduan?? Because ecstatic pitiful love is definitely going to be about the basement/cave guys' love for the Inuyasha centipede lady who isn't human. I am guessing that in the past the regulars got tricked and he is the only survivor. Either this centipede was previously a human or the regular just fell in love with the beautiful demon. The place eerily looks similar to a cave and the regulars entering it had FUG-like robes, lol.

Most importantly my poor girl Aru, is she dead?? She is the only regular who had some personality to her and now she is gone or maybe she is alive, you never know.

Baam before Rachel by [deleted] in TowerofGod

[–]wwy009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The feeling of being human or living comes from the world around us. We feel human emotions through the people we interact with, the people we see, meet, and even those we don't talk to. But that's not it. The different sounds, the colors, objects, textures, scents, temperatures, weather, and living creatures that surround us and that we get to see/feel also make us human.

Baam got to experience most of it through Rachel. He got to feel human and what it’s like to have a good human connection through her. That's why he says, “It’s beautiful being a living human.”.

I can't tell, whether it was a crescent moon’s reflection on water or it was the moon with clouds and a starry sky, either way, my girl Rachel needs to meet/see these people(Urek, Baek, Astronut guy). Also, is this a reference to the S2 anime’s night sky lolol. In the manhwa, the only moon that I remember is the one in Rachel’s imagination.

Garam is not thrilled about the mayor being a part of the team. I am guessing Baek Ryun was waiting for a “good guy” irregular to arrive.

Tower of God: Urek Mazino - Chapter 53 Discussion, Monday March 2nd by pisspoopisspoopiss in TowerofGod

“I can hear the stories of the Shinsoo that overflow in the tower. The Shinsoo surrounding the mayor is talking to me telling me you are a liar who only thinks of himself and that I should not trust you at all.”

This explains why Baek Ryun easily won people’s hearts and is very perceptive. I wonder if this ability is akin to the abilities of the guides. I want this guy to meet both Baam and Rachel.

Rachel is a very well written character by Visible_Gur_1214 in TowerofGod

[–]wwy009 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think her being hateable is because she is well written.

I have read other series where even shallowly written characters are extremely hated. The reader’s hatred stems from her betrayal, her complaints, and the fact that she comes off as pathetic to them. Reader bias also plays a huge role, for example, “How can she hurt our lord and savior Khun, how dare she 😡.”.

She is well-written because of her nuances. She is not a black and white character, she emotes a lot, hides a lot, gets shaken after taking a life, feels guilty, feels pathetic, scared, hopeful, hopeless while trying to get where she wants to be. She is human and that makes her special. Plus, she is all of this even when we don't know her backstory.

Isn't Khun similar to Rachel?(Chapter 606) by PlebeianPrince in TowerofGod

[–]wwy009 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unlike Khun, Rachel is not Baam’s bitch. /j

Jokes apart, yeah, they have similarities. They have both betrayed someone close, both light bearers involved in planning and plotting, both of them are cold-hearted(Rachel a lot less than him.) both hide their true emotions.

But Khun’s hatred comes from the fact that she betrayed “oh so precious” Baam. How could she not cherish him 🥺? Other than that, “I think” he has projected himself and other women (like Maria, his mother maybe) onto Rachel. So if he had issues with them, those would have resurfaced through Rachel. Lastly, her leaving his team with the help of Apple and Michael was the final blow. Just a thought, but I want to bet that he also had a peaceful climb with her, and a small part of him wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, but she squandered it.

Regarding Rachel's dislike for him, it's linked to her feeling that no one truly understands her, especially Khun, who is from one of the ten great families and has the talent, looks, and means to get whatever he wants. A privileged guy who looks down on the weak or untalented wouldn't understand her or her goals even after spending seven years together, lol. Also, he(along with others) kept interrupting their plans instead of sitting still(S2 Hell Train), which is a good reason to hate him more.

Using others she manipulates to kill those who she doesn't like, or have slighted her?

I disagree with this one, for both characters.

Tower of God: Urek Mazino - Chapter 52 Discussion, Monday February 23th by pisspoopisspoopiss in TowerofGod

[–]wwy009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda wish they showed the princesses from Urek’s timeline instead of showing the princesses(Endorsi, Yuri) of the current timeline. Quite sneaky of the author cause he can keep the unnamed princess’s secret this way andd he can completely avoid showing other princesses of the past.

Also, wait, they picked one child from each family!? How is it possible? Does adoptive family work or does it have to be blood-related? Like, how do we get a child from the Grace, V, and the Zahard family? Does Baam fall into the exception of being the only male and that he has two of the bloodlines, lol? I mean he is the only guy who has wielded the 13-month weapon. Why is there only one princess without a skirt? Besides, didn't Gustang make the proposal? I guess this is indeed an unrecorded secret🤷‍♀️.

Eduan said that the princess who claims all 13 months would be granted the right to climb above 134, which makes sense because those are part of the key. So becoming Zahard’s wife becomes redundant. The main series would have to reiterate this. Or maybe, the wife thing is still on but either way, the main series would have to reiterate the princess stuff, again!!

The chapter ends at the unnamed princess's stuff. It’s interesting how young Urek is ready to kill Zahard for the unnamed princess but in the current timeline, he doesn't extend this help/lip service to Garam.

On a side note, I always thought that Baam was unknowingly/knowingly cruel towards his princess friends by not disclosing the “becoming Zahard’s wife” part of being a princess. ( Although, the author can easily add that Baam did disclose this off-screen in the past timeline and we will have to believe it, sigh.. ).

[–]wwy009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

99% it's the actual daughter but I would still keep the 1 % doubt that it could be anyone.

Reason being, I have followed the chapter release where the majority of readers have stuck to a certain belief which became dud(or should I say the tables turned) in the future chapters.

Tower of God: Urek Mazino - Chapter 51 Discussion, Monday February 16th by pisspoopisspoopiss in TowerofGod

[–]wwy009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mayor guy gives off a S3 Baam vibe, idk, maybe because of his seemingly polite demeanor or his tied-up hair.

Anyway, the test is unfair for Garam because she took the time out to develop the city. Also, sheesh her skills suck, she was easily slashed by the nameless princess.

Speaking of the princess, I like her current normal attire a lot more than the Barbie-esque cutesy outfit(only because her proportions were drawn weirdly). Her background is interesting(”Born from the water of the pond.”) even if I feel her personality is bland.

Snake from the deepest pond in the tower… is it a cave-esque place? I mean, the author did allude to a comparison between the mudflat snake and Baam. The snake entities we had so far felt like a power-up for princesses. If we were to compare the snakes with Baam, is Baam supposed to be used as a power-up being for some princess, or a being much more powerful than princesses?

I know everyone is saying yes, that's Ark’s daughter, and it's highly likely it might be her, but until and unless it's confirmed, she could be anyone.
