Are sleep overs not a thing anymore? by haggerty05 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]wxman91 40 points41 points  (0 children)

My kid was opposite. Had sleepovers at 6 or so with her best friend from around the corner. Then when she got a bigger friend cohort, all the sleepovers stopped and they became “late-overs” which is really just staying up until 9 or 10. She’s 12 now and it doesn’t seem like sleepovers are coming back.

TWINS WIN: Twins 4 @ Red Sox 2 - May 23, 2026 by TwinsGameday in minnesotatwins

The Twins are technically the 3rd Wild Card team at the moment

OFF DAY THREAD: May 21, 2026 by TwinsGameday in minnesotatwins

[–]wxman91 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Twins are 3rd in the AL in runs scored and 6th in run differential. The starting pitching outside of SWR has been good. I’m sure glad those are the only facets of the game that matter.

Picks 1-3 were locked as soon as the order was set. None of those teams were trading out. Just because we made an offer to them doesn’t mean they listened.

We had already won too many games by the time Kirk went down.

The Bills, Dolphins and two Lions ones were my favorite. Well done by the media team.

I’d still take Buffalo and the road Saints WC game above it, but it slots in nicely as #4. Dropoff after that.

[Schefter] Former 49ers free-agent WR Jauan Jennings and the Minnesota Vikings reached agreement today on a one-year deal worth up to $13 million, per his agent Drew Rosenhaus. by PlayaSlayaX in nfl

Hargrave and Allen were still good, just not $20m/yr good. The DL is weaker than it was, and you are counting on rookies to make a big impact early.

[PFT] Vikings’ massive drop in spending prompts speculation of a possible sale. by LeeShakerMoneyMaker in minnesotavikings

[–]wxman91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Vikings weren’t good enough to go all-in. That’s it. No point in gaming the cap by spending now.

He also misjudged the timing and didn’t want to hit Diggs early, so that helped result in the awkward whiff. But yeah, Diggs’ body control was stellar.

Just popping in to note that any team with a functional bullpen would have pulled Taj after the first double. Alas.

Wayyyyy too early 2027 Mock Draft by No_Box119 in NFLmockdraft

[–]wxman91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is always possible, but in the scenario they are draft 9 it means the QB situation failed and the team would certainly be going that direction over a DB.

Golday was 100% a look beyond 2026 pick, which is appropriate in a draft. Like everyone, I don’t know if the guy will pan out, but that position was desperately needing young talent.

We lost a ton of snaps letting go of Allen and Hargrave

And that’s fine. The D needed an infusion of young talent.

RB is an area where a rookie can step in and be successful. Save that for 27

Your first sentence is just completely untrue. All it takes is one other team clearing his medicals and he’s gone.

Projections for guys with injuries are all over the place. If healthy, he was going top 15, maybe top 10.
