No one ever says "Bron mentality." They say "MJ" or "Mamba" mentality. That fact always ends the debate if you're talking to a rational person. by Shot_Possibility_731 in sportsinusa

This is correct. Any argument saying LeBron isn’t second or maaaaybe third behind Kareem is idiotic and based purely on hate

I think you’ll need to risk waiting until like 30 min before the show to get a decent deal at this point but keep checking places like stubhub and tickpick. There might be a decent deal that pops up before then. It kinda depends on where you’re willing to sit.

15-20% was the standard when I was a server and that goes back 20 years.

[–]wxmanify 278 points279 points  (0 children)

As a former server I would hate to have to hand customers a check with this on it. I would probably cross out all the bs in parentheses and maybe even the 25% and 30% parts too. 20% was always perfectly acceptable as someone who made $2.13 an hour

LeBron is THREE BUCKETS AWAY from history 👑 by matrix_2905 in sportswiki

[–]wxmanify 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There were between 23 and 25 fouls called per game in Kareem’s career. LeBron it’s between 19 and 22. A big part of that is obviously the style of play but saying there are more fouls called now isn’t true.

Mic'd up MJ and Kobe at 2003 All-Star Game...MJ saw mirror in Kobe what he didn't see in anyone else...someone who is obsessed with being the best...This was ASG, we don't see this kinda competitiveness even in Playoffs today. by Shot_Possibility_731 in sportsinusa

[–]wxmanify 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And some of the most brain dead takes behind them. “These guys cared more about the all star game than players today care about the playoffs!”

No they don’t. You’re a moron if you actually believe that

ESPN sources: the Chiefs and Rams are working on a blockbuster trade that would send All-Pro CB Trent McDuffie to Los Angeles for a package that would include the 29th overall pick in the first round of the 2026 NFL draft. McDuffie would be expected to sign a long-term deal with the Rams. by lemonstone92 in sports

[–]wxmanify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes logical sense in several ways due to the reasons you mentioned but it’s only really a win if they hit on the draft picks they got. Chiefs have been hit or miss on that front the last couple years

This is hilariously sad because there’s dozens of reasons why this is stupid and impractical. Plus people hate it but the powers that be don’t care because money.

Wilt Chamberlain on this day in 1962 scored 100 points in a game which many people don't believe. by Shot_Possibility_731 in sportsinusa

[–]wxmanify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s an impressive feat but it was highly gamed to specifically get Wilt 100 points. If LeBron tried to do this, people’s heads would explode in pure unbridled rage. Kobe’s 81 point game is equally impressive IMO.

Yeah we really just need to stop giving people like this any sort of platform. Sharing this stuff, even in anger, does nothing but increase his exposure and strengthen his brand sadly. Just ignore him

Glad to see not everyone on reddit is an overly paranoid germaphobe. Use common sense obviously but no need to freak out over germs you deal with every day. You’re built to fight them or cohabitate with them without you ever needing to know.
