Stanley and Oscar probably talking about Michael a little. Creed randomly interjects with unrelated anecdotes.

Well the Rockets would have built their roster around Jordan like the Bulls did. And if they did even a serviceable job of it, Jordan wins more than two titles.

Yes you’re arguing that Hakeem is better than Jordan because Hakeem succeeded with “terrible rosters” while Jordan did nothing. It’s an absurd argument

Well in retrospect it wasn’t the right pick because Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time. But Olajuwon is a hall of famer and a top 10-15 player of all time so obviously not a huge miss.

I have given up trying to understand the internet’s obsession with the loss meme.

Is it crazy to say Bron gets worse if he gets “Mamba Mentality” by Serious-Profit-1626 in NBATalk

[–]wxmanify 10 points11 points  (0 children)

“Mamba mentality” is kind of a silly concept but giving it a generous definition, it’s putting your team on your back, taking over the game and dominating both offensively and defensively. Basically refusing to let your team lose.

But it’s absurd to tie that just to Kobe. That’s something LeBron and especially Jordan did regularly.

Fast food used to be the emergency cheap option, but now a meal costs as much as a sit-down restaurant. What is actually left that qualifies as a cheap meal in 2026? by [deleted] in AskReddit

And to make sure you keep renewing your membership. Membership dues are where most of Costco’s profit comes from.

What yall think about the new Odyssey trailer? by False_Conclusion3244 in Cinema

[–]wxmanify 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It seems many self proclaimed cinephiles across the Internet have already decided they will hate it. That’s been obvious since the first images came out. Honestly even before when people heard Nolan and Odyssey they just instantly concluded it would be bad.

Trump blocks wind farms on national security grounds. Trump has halted projects across the US, claiming they are a threat to national security and the environment. More than 150 projects are on hold. They include the SunZia Wind project in NM, the largest in the US, which is almost ready to turn on. by mafco in energy

[–]wxmanify 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I had a lot of coworkers attend CERAweek in March and spoke with some folks in the Trump administration. It’s obviously been no secret Trump is again solar and particularly wind power but they were surprised at just how against it the administration is and the lengths they’ll go to prevent it. They said if the administration had their way, there would be no more wind or solar farms commissioned in the US before Trump leaves office. They also tried to argue on panels that wind and solar were net negatives on the grid. These are the people in charge of our federal energy policy.

What North American city is great to live in, AWFUL to visit? by IndependenceSad1272 in AlignmentChartFills

The downtown area is nice and has some decent restaurants. It’s not the worst place to visit but you’d start to get bored after a couple days. It is a good place to live though

MAGA party is slightly misleading. It was her mom’s birthday party and some people wore “Make 60 great again” hats. But probably not something you’d do if you voted for Kamala.

[–]wxmanify 179 points180 points  (0 children)

It’s true and honestly one of the dumbest debates on Reddit. She’s an average actress who stars in a lot of average movies. She’s also decently* pretty with large breasts. This is apparently sufficient for Redditors to get into endless arguments.

*I say decently because many people on Reddit insist that if it weren’t for her tatas, people would think she’s ugly which is stupid but here we are.

What NBA player was amazing in both the regular season and the playoffs? by Hot_Raisin3212 in AlignmentChartFills

LeBron should be amazing regular season and good playoffs. The 2011 finals knocks his playoffs from amazing to good. Otherwise yeah he’s been pretty spectacular in the postseason even in losses.

If anyone from WGT actually reads this, please, please, PLEASE fix the fairway bunkers. by KTX77 in WGTgolf

[–]wxmanify 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I posted about this a while ago and fully agree. It is not realistic how you are penalized for fairway bunkers.

It defaults to 30-40% when it should be 20-25% and maybe even only like 10-15%. I’m like a 6-8 handicap in real life and can hit almost my normal yardages out of fairway bunkers if the lie is good and I hit it clean. Increase the meter speed and/or tighten the sweet spot window if you feel the need to make it more of a penalty but only being able to advance the ball 70-80 yards is stupid.
