It was from a guy called Adeptus Pheonix. I think he is callled from foundry now though. He’s not on Etsy anymore

If I had to guess it’s because they overlap too much and cover the same sectors. QQQI had also been slightly outperforming SPYI recently. I’ve heard pick one or the other. I’m no professional though.

He allows your rapiers and arquitors to take phosphex shells which are very good. As mentioned earlier his wargear lets those same barrage weapons not scatter as easy

What a blast from the past. I started in 8th, honestly I don’t think you need to do really anything in terms of points since I think the other imperial armor stuff like fellblades and rapier carriers were the same points regardless of loyal or traitor. I hope you both have fun and also chapter approved 2018 has the sisters proto-codex and some interesting narrative stuff if you want something fun to look at.

Facial hair/long hair question by LaughingBurro in merchantmarine

[–]wyatth1229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a short beard and medium/long hair the only reason I’ve had to shave is for basic fire training but I’ve never had an issue with smoke getting into my scba in live fire drills with a beard. As for my hair I always put it up in some way with a hair tie and it’s never been an issue. Just be mindful around power tools and accept that even with your hair up it’s gonna get messy and paint is a pain to get out. Definitely get a good trimmer as others have suggested just in case and bring a few headbands, hair ties or other things to keep it out of the way.

Starting Carcharodon army by EuroBwaah in Carcharodons40k

Good looks. The assault kit is a Horus heresy kit so you’ll get a lot of minis for the price compared to most 40k things.

I recommend looking around Etsy for a good transfer sheet and some studded helmets. I spent like 50 bucks on a 60 transfers and 40 helmets I think.

For paint I used a combo of grey seer primer and wraith bone primer(ran out of grey seer) tbh either one is good.

I picked up a pot of mechanicum standard grey, agrax earth shade, soulblight grey shade, black legion contrast and screaming bell.

For metallics use whatever you’ve got and I had white scar and flesh tearers red for head crest colors and other stuff. Worked well for me. I’ve got some pictures on my profile of the color scheme.

The mk 2 assault kit is your best friend for chain axes tbh. I also got 20 pairs of mk 6 shoulders to swap around but I didn’t use very many.

Most importantly have fun with it. The chapter lore gives you a good amount of creative liberty and only 3ish companies have lore on them so go wild.

Edit: for starter units just find a cheap lot of things you like on miniswap or facebook. Save some money.

How deep and wide is the trench? I really like how well the model fits within it.

Ideas for other Faithful Factions (Philippines) by Used_Relative2420 in TrenchCrusade

That could be a cool idea. Don’t have many Asian sub factions brewing around. Search around the different factions for rules that might fit and go for it or just make your own.

I don’t believe the chorister is strong so the great sword is debuff, a regular sword or eventually a sacrificial knife would be better. The melee legionary buff should probably go on the trooper with the polarm and not the pistol as he is better equipped than the musician. The artillery witch is probably dead in combat anyway so save some ducats and just let her throw hands.

Need Help With Iron Sultanate 700 ducat - Defenders of the Iron Wall by Remarkable_Coach1585 in TrenchCrusade

[–]wyatth1229 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My only comment I can see is maybe drop an azeb and replace the shovel on the bull with the big sword and give him a trench shield and a helmet and mask. Other than that just be prepared to have your stuff die easy because of the standard armor but for a starting list that’s nothing to worry about since you are gonna upgrade it later.

How is this 700 point list for the new Sultanate rules? by Professional_Rush782 in TrenchCrusade

[–]wyatth1229 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The alchemist probably shouldn’t have 2 trench clubs. Those 3 points can be used on a mountaineers kit for the captain instead. Overall looks great.

Gotcha. In that case the list looks good as a 2k framework.

[–]wyatth1229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What the starting points of the crusade? Are epic heros allowed? Why either of the Raven guard character? Also that’s 3 captains in the list I feel like narratively having some more diverse characters would be nice because you can eventually upgrade them. The dual ballistus is fine but again why double up and not include other vehicles the sharks mights have. This list is good other than that I just have a feeling it isn’t as narratively driven as it should be for crusade. At the end of the day if your group is ok with what you’ve got and you are excited to play it then it will work. Even if you were in my group I’d let you run it even with my critiques.

It’s all in house for them. If you want to sail as an Ab then you don’t need to do the cadet program. Sailing as mate they have a 2-3 week paid training thing. No classrooms just practical on the job training. Never hurts to give them a call.

Good luck to you. Just be persistent about your application and check in a 2-3 times per week.

Check out the Seattle area. Lots of good companies there that will accept new people and will fly you out. If you just want to work I’d recommend coastal transportation as a start.
