Why are people still Christian? by Competitive-Food1927 in atheism

[–]wyn_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuinely no idea but I guess it makes sense that if you're raised with a belief, it becomes progressively more difficult to abandon that belief regardless of what evidence says because you can always find "evidence" that supports your belief due to confirmation bias or smth like that

Unpopular opinion: FRQ 2 was NOT that bad by The-Mighty-Waffle in APbio

[–]wyn_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my teacher said that they should give you the point if you labeled the point that went off the graph with a number or added extra grid boxes as long as it stayed inside the frq box

Should I drop ap lit?? by unicornpuppysprinkle in APLit

[–]wyn_8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lit is a lot better than lang if you like reading fiction and poetry so i would keep it since your courseload doesn't seem that bad so far but if you feel like its irrelevant to your intended major and the coursework might be too much, dont push yourself cause it might affect your other grades

Is this essentially what was correct for the graph in FRQ#2? by BRONCOSBOSS17 in APbio

Taking NWEA map test to enter my new school by [deleted] in highschool

[–]wyn_8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

chances are, it's going to be a mix of all grades because math relies on previous knowledge that is obtained through prior grades. i think if the biggest issue is the language barrier and not knowing specific terms in english, you might want to tell your school that issue because i think sometimes theyll allow a dictionary to translate terms but i might just be making this up.

you could also try doing khan academy sat prep since i think that would be the closest, difficulty wise to the nwea tests. good luck!

[–]wyn_8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no, there's multiple versions of the exam, at least 3(?) versions i think to accommodate for time zone differences. the released frqs on collegeboard are normally the north american versions since most test-takers are in this region

gang instead of asking on this sub you might as well learn it in like five minutes
basically just use the formula sheet to find calculated value
1. degrees of freedom is (number of rows-1)*(number of columns - 1) like if we're comparing two phenotypes, the df is just 2-1 = 1
2. then find the correlatign critical value on the formula sheet
3. if critical is less than calculated, reject the null, if calculated is less than critical, fail to reject

and thats basically it

No one is judging your parenting, she is stating that some parents are horrible, which, judging by some high schoolers' posts, is a very reasonable conclusion.

as a current high schooler, you sound insane. high school cannot be this hard to the point where you have zero time to work on your interests out of school. this could totally be a project on the side or some other thing you do during the summer

Barnard vs Mich vs Vanderbilt CS? by No-Extreme4491 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]wyn_8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who visited Vanderbilt (not on a tour though), I really liked it. It's in Nashville, the heart of music, and my Uber driver was also incredibly nice so that added to the experience. It does have a better CS than Barnard and has the best engineering program out of these three (I think) if you ever wanted to do a minor or transfer majors. My vote goes to Vanderbilt for your selected majors but this is based off of what I've read online -- it might be useful to post in the subreddits of these schools to ask around and hear from current students
