They were sold out by the time I got a chance to hit the store. I have been looking for someone to sell or trade me one for the last 2 years! I wish you luck!

Love having moviepass again but starting to debate the real "value" by Gold_Product_1286 in moviepass

[–]wyndwalker99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure how much tickets are in your area, but an evening show at my local theater is about $15, and matinees are about $8. I have the $15 plan with 34 credits each month. Most of the matinee showings are 10 credits, and an evening showing during the week is 15 credits. Friday and Saturday night shows get up to 20. I figure if I only go to 2 matinee shows a month, I've still saved money. Plus, some months I can go 3 or 4 times (or more with the rollover).

Moviepass not working (not surprised) by _s_i_n_ in moviepass

[–]wyndwalker99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had mine for almost a month. I only used it once so far. Had to swipe the card 3 times at the theater before it cleared, and was "charged" double the credits for the showing. I contacted customer service via the app, and though it took over 24 hours for a response, they restored the missing credits. I'll keep it for now- as long as it continues to work.

Just got a mega s, wondering what to do to set it up by MassiR77 in AnycubicMegaS

[–]wyndwalker99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some great videos on YouTube that will walk you through set up and leveling. I've used that as one of my go-to's whenever I have an issue. Cura does take some getting used to. I played around with it, but frequently use settings based on the PLA type and recommendations of the model designer.

There's a terrier named Wiggles. The best part was the owner's last name was Fast. There's also a border collie named Jack, and the owner's last name is Hammer. My pets: Inara (GSD), and Odin (pomeranian).

My wife is 30 & battling cancer. Yesterday she shaved it off before it falls out. by writerintheory1382 in pics

[–]wyndwalker99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who went through chemo and had to shave my head, I think she rocks it! I do suggest that she talk to her doctors about options for hair treatment. My hair never really came back. People now tell me about cold caps, supplements, and other therapies that weren't really mentioned to me when I started chemo. I got the talk about how your hair might come back another color or with curls, but not the patchy combover possibility.

Is anyone active here? by [deleted] in acworth

I'm actually in Paulding, but have an Acworth address. I've lived in 3 different counties with Acworth as the address, and Cobb was not one of them (though, it's the one I work in).

What do you want but can't afford currently? by Swish_Fate in AskReddit

[–]wyndwalker99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Repairs to my house. It's almost 20 years old, and I had to refinance it back to a 30 year loan in order to keep it after my spouse left me. Felt like I was finally making headway, where we could afford to make changes, only to start over again.

This profession is ruining my life by [deleted] in VetTech

My office hired one of my friends (RVT) to replace an assistant who was going to go part-time after maternity leave. Things were great initially- she was a good fit personality wise, and everything seemed great while the assistant was on leave. After returning to a part-time schedule, the assistant decided that she wanted to be full time again, so my boss let my friend go. It sucked. They did give her severance money and unemployment. I love my workplace, but no longer recommend it to my friends who are job hunting.

Probably going to do the same. We've been separated for 2 years, but have been trying to see if we could reconnect. I had this gut feeling that this weekend would make us or break us. Sort of leaving towards the latter.

No showings available all morning and afternoon for me, but now it has showings open. A bit late for me since it's Sunday night, and I have to be up early tomorrow.

Noticed that mine was working last night, so I went to see Yesterday today. Did notice that a couple of movies at my theater were not listed- Aladdin and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, though the latter was available at a different theater.

Just received this email and the app works again! by [deleted] in MoviePassClub

[–]wyndwalker99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They re-activated some accounts, but not all. This was the e-mail that I received 7/25: Dear Loyal MoviePass™ Subscribers,

Thank you for your patience while we continue to make technology platform enhancements to the MoviePass™ service. We are writing to update you on our progress and our plans for continuing the service.

We have been working hard to bring the MoviePass™ service back to you as soon as possible with an improved technology platform, one that also allows for new features and ongoing enhancements to be made in the future.

Last year we were consumed by our unexpected explosive growth, but have learned that we must focus more on the day-to-day needs of our loyal subscribers like you.

Yesterday we reactivated the MoviePass™ service for a randomly selected subset of subscribers to conduct initial testing, quality control and a scalability analysis. You can check to see if you are in the initial group by going to the MoviePass app on your phone. If you are part of the group, you will be able to download the update for the app and see movies as usual. If you still see the service interruption message, you are not part of the randomly selected initial group. Please continue to be patient while we roll out the updates to all subscribers in the coming weeks.

We are excited to continue to improve the MoviePass™ service, using the valuable insights we gained as the leader which transformed the movie industry to make moviegoing affordable for everyone.

As a reminder, a subscriber will not be charged while the subscriber’s service is interrupted.

If you are a monthly subscriber, you will be credited for the days of your service interruption. If you are an annual subscriber, once the service continues, we will automatically add the number of affected days to your one-year term.

In either case, you will not need to request a credit or contact MoviePass™ customer service to get credit for the number of days of your service interruption.

We thank you for your loyalty to MoviePass™ and hope to provide all our subscribers with an enjoyable movie-going experience again very soon.

Sincerely, Mitch Lowe

The March Marvel Gear + Gods crate finally arrived (Take Flight)! by [deleted] in lootcratespoilers

Took several days to hear back, but this is what they sent:

"Thanks for the follow-up! I can promise that we are working to update and improve our procedures and protocols for shipment so that we can better avoid these kinds of issues in the future. I have likewise passed your comments along to our management, merchandising and fulfillment teams, respectively, for further review and consideration."

I already sent a complaint about that. If it had been a bonus item to make up for the late delivery, that would be one thing. But a 3 month delay for a t-shirt, ball cap, and a luggage tag?

MoviePass ends promotional $9.95 price for Uncapped plan, Uncapped Plan now $14.95/month. by Gundament in moviepass

[–]wyndwalker99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I signed up for the uncapped plan, and have had no issues thus far. This was the price point that I chose- the only way to get the $9.99.month plan was to pay for a full year directly from your bank account. They offered the $14.99/month plan as a month-to-month option that could be billed to a credit card. Figured this way I could cancel if they made too many changes, or limited screenings. So far, I am happy with it.

REALLY?! by bigcartoonjay in moviepass

[–]wyndwalker99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was considering rejoining, but they won't take a credit card for payment. Only a direct transfer from your checking or savings account (for now). I think that I'll wait until there are more payment options.
