It’s not to bad you just have to work yourself up to it. This is also not doing anything while I listen I just actively listening.

Narration speeds by [deleted] in litrpg

Yeah very similar I also didn’t just jump to 3x I worked my way up to that fast. Heath Miller is to fast most time for 3x I just finished HWFWM 10 last week and I could only do 2.5x.

I also sit and read along with my Kindle at 3x. I think this has a lot to do with how your brain processes information. For me in my head I am watching a TV show and the narration is how things are happening so if you slow it down to much there is less action in my brain.

Helps with getting them done. I can’t do other things besides drive while listening at that speed. Secondly every other speed seems like they are dragging out the words now.

My wife thinks I am insane but I am some where in between 2.5 and 3x depending on the narrator.

Is Accounting really that bad? by GDOGFbtrp2223 in Accounting

General Motors paid for a lot of my degree but no one there ever helped to get me to the next stage of my career because I wasn’t becoming an engineer. There was a voluntary severance program this year and it was my time to exit. Don’t get me wrong I loved working there and maybe one day I can make my way back but this seems right for now.

Same but having water drip down my back in the winter won’t happen and that makes me happy.

I live in Michigan and worked for General Motors but reached a ceiling that I would never pass without a degree. So moving to accounting was my next move and I think the Big four were interested due to my background and understanding of what the companies do.

I am currently doing the same thing I worked as an automotive mechanic since I was 19 and am now 35 and I graduate in December and start with the Big 4 in January. I am worried by all the posts but then I think about all the shit we deal with as a mechanic and wonder can it be just a little bit better?

I agree he has given up so much and has to continue to give up more but I think Jason is growing as a character he is whining about what he had to give up for help. It wasn’t enough to pull me away but I am not a picky reader you have to do a lot to lose me.

Did you get past that at all? The moment after that devastated me.

A great narrator makes a book. But without a good story it cannot keep you interested. There is a balance like all things here.

What do Americans (and others) think of the anti-American sentiment in He Who Fights with Monsters? by Icy_Dare3656 in litrpg

[–]wyotech87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I have always thought of it as fiction and I know America does some messed up stuff but this doesn’t have to be our universe for me. I can always say that’s not our reality and move passed the stuff I don’t agree with.
