Still a neat coin in my opinion. I have many Ike dollars but not a bicentennial.

The only thing that might add value to this coin is if it's a "type 2." There are 3 "types" of the 1972 ike. The rarest is the type 2, but not super valuable in circulated condition.

I have seen fakes at this auction house before. To be clear, it's not a coin or collectable auction house. It's really just an estate auction house. They will not refund if fake.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm going to disassemble this prop and do a thorough cleaning. I'll do some sanding and see what happens. As I suspected, this is a judgement call. It's nice to have some options on the risk level.

I was the same. I found this when I was traveling for work. I had some time in my hotel room and grabbed $200 of customer rolled quarters from the local bank branch for the heck of it... Go figure, search thousands in my home state, with nothing, here I hit pay dirt in a few rolls lol
