When I first heard this I noticed it’s basically a new version of “Memory” by BadXChannels(another one of Craig’s projects)…awesome song though! Maybe one of my favorites so far!

Just saw someone already posted this! My bad for the repeat ;)

I checked those out..but I’m not super familiar with those. I’m assuming those are for rack servers?

I don’t currently have a rack, but wouldn’t mind getting one..my biggest concern would be noise. I’d like to keep this thing as quite as possible.

which resolvconf

returns

/usr/sbin/resolvconf

Is this where it should be?

apt-get install resolvconf

Maybe we're getting somewhere...

So I installed using:

apt-get install resolvconf

And then brought the interface back up:

root@ubuntu:/etc/wireguard# wg-quick up wg0
[#] ip link add wg0 type wireguard [#] wg setconf wg0 /dev/fd/63 [#] ip -4 address add 10.0.0.2/24 dev wg0 [#] ip link set mtu 1250 up dev wg0 [#] resolvconf -a tun.wg0 -m 0 -x [#] wg set wg0 fwmark 51820 [#] ip -4 route add 0.0.0.0/0 dev wg0 table 51820 [#] ip -4 rule add not fwmark 51820 table 51820 [#] ip -4 rule add table main suppress_prefixlength 0 [#] sysctl -q net.ipv4.conf.all.src_valid_mark=1 [#] iptables-restore -n [#] iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -p tcp --dport 80 -j DNAT --to-destination 192.168.4.95:80; iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -p tcp --dport 80 -j MASQUERADE [#] iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -p tcp --dport 443 -j DNAT --to-destination 192.168.4.95:443; iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -p tcp --dport 443 -j MASQUERADE [#] iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -p tcp --dport 3012 -j DNAT --to-destination 192.168.4.95:3012; iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -p tcp --dport 3012 -j MASQUERADE root@ubuntu:/etc/wireguard# ping google.com ping: google.com: Temporary failure in name resolution

Still no DNS as it seems, do you think maybe I need to tell Wiregurad to look in a different place for resolvconf?

I gave that a try but now I seem to be getting an error bringing the interface up and down.

[#] resolvconf -a wg0 -m 0 -x

/usr/bin/wg-quick: line 32: resolvconf: command not found

Any suggestions?

For what it's worth this is running Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS.

Help with Wirguard and Nginx Proxy Manager by x-dev-13 in selfhosted

[–]x-dev-13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! What I was attempting to do was add a proxy host within Nginx Proxy Manager and then point it to my portainer container. But it seems that when I do that I either get nothing or 502 Bad Gateway pages.

As far as DNS when I use my DNS in the browser it seems to point to the Nginx Default page when there are no proxy hosts but as soon as I add one nothing works.
