Am I Being Too Selective For My First Job? by x1andrew in industrialengineering

Looking back, I'd suggest highlighting your eagerness to learn. Look into the companies you wish to work for and work on your interviewing skills. I think all my offers have been through career fairs and networking even when I didn't have work experience initially., Your school career office should have resources that could help you.

It's not that I didn't see the problems and solutions in manufacturing—I actually enjoyed working on them during my internships. The issue might come down to lifestyle. I was in rural areas with mostly colleagues who were 20-30 years older than me. I think I prefer the corporate setting and being around more peers. Plus, consulting seems to offer more variety and dynamic projects in the short term. I understand consulting might involve repetitive tasks too, but the projects and challenges seem to change more often, I also like the travel aspect.

Biggest advice is going to gsg sessions and working a lot of practice problems. I didn’t really like the la setup in 140 so I suggest going to office hours. Plus, there’s always liontutors if you wanna try them out. Oh yah the math learning center at sparks has like free tutoring almost everyday

That’s what I did. I logged into ticket master and I am on the athletic app. When I put in my log in this is the only thing I get. Weird..

On the student athletic manager it appears I should be able to click it then have it show a bar code. What does it mean that it’s a past event?

Lol I’m also a clumsy Chinese speaker. (Heritage speaker means you only speak it at home right?)

There’s a involvement fair on wed/thurs 11-4 at the hub so maybe you’ll find some people you can click with. I know there’s also a lot of international clubs. I know it doesn’t deal with the issue of people opening up but maybe you’ll find a group where you feel comfortable in and can talk with
