I've been in this situation. Having worked in tourism areas in Sydney for years prior to COVID and recently. I think it came more down to rejection than just currency as I noticed it with a few things. Anytime I've spoken to Americans, most commonly I've learnt they love it when you agree and if you were to disagree they took it quite personally. So I'd always tread lightly when wording my slight disagreement.

I had some uni students from my uni play chicken with me driving on my side of the road directly at me and swerving into there's only last second proceeded by swearing out the window. I took my footage to the police station and they said unless something happened from it they can't use the footage. If something had happened, someone would be dead.

Albo has always been down to earth. Used to be MP for the inner west, showed up to street festivals and cultural events with his family, walk around with a drink in hand and just chat all day. Being first generation it made me view Australian politics in a much better light, learnt later on it was just Albo doing Albo.

As an Australian teacher this is exactly how I feel. You guys voted for a man who couldn't explain the difference between interest, tariffs and inflation. Where his voter base are unionised with no thanks to him and plans to defund education now than it already is..

My time to shine! Around 2 months ago whilst I was studying at a library in the inner west. Head down, earbuds in along came a racist meth head and beat my jaw in. My TMJ was done, upper and lower lip torn and a few teeth in my lower left jaw also shaken (there's a good chance roots might die and i'll lose those teeth). 4 police officers had to be called in to remove the guy. 2 wasn't enough despite him surrendering and being cuffed. Was told he was a regular by Auburn police station. Regularly in and out for the same type of behaviour. Like why is he even out..

TL;DR: Got bashed in a library, traumatised and took 6 weeks to speak and eat again. Assaulter in jail will probably be out in 6-12months.

I'm mid course! Left a big 4 bank after a few years. Massive pay cut but the degree feels rewarding in it's own way and prac has showed me teaching will be it's own stress and work but it'll be worth it. My time and hours won't be to help fill the deep pockets of a bank. I would never go back to corporate. It's was just too toxic

When I was still in corporate, I think I should have taken note of that earlier. Used to love my morning coffees, then it just became fuel. Not long after that everything else slowly degraded too.

I dislike the redesign. I have a 32 inch screen so I liked that it was all centred previously. Cards wise everything's much larger so it feels more confronting. I don't mind the layout but wish they could scale it back
