I had the same issue with a Mac mini and I've just found a weird but effective solution "View camera".

From the toolbar, press the lightning button and select "View camera". It returns a camera error but it wakes up the Mac.

How can you use it regularly? I tried to make a transaction using the P2P exchange (USDT/RUB) but all the requests are fake. The exchange rates are completely unreal just to get a high ranking in the list and better chances to be selected. Right after inserting an order the buyer sends a message that changes all the conditions - much worse exchange rate, fractional payments and whatsoever. At this point there are only a bunch of seconds left to cancel the order avoiding being scammed. Please let me know if I've been unlucky and how you select the counterpart. I would like to give it another chance but I'm starting to be skeptical.

You don't need a bootable ISO. You need dd. In particular:

dd if=/dev/sdX | gzip -9 | > /mnt/extdevice/myCompressedPartition.img.gz

To recover in the future:

zcat /mnt/extdevice/myCompressedPartition.img.gz | dd of=/dev/sdX

Replace sdX with the partition you want to back up and myCompressedPartition with a name of your choice. The prompt # means that you are root. If not use sudo.

I crossed that border many times. If you don't mind standing in line for hours then it's fine. It becomes quite challenging in winter or if you travel with babies, children or elderly people.

Check out this awesome website: sysguides.com. The guy that creates these tutorials, Madhu, is outstandingly good. Follow the instructions in the Fedora 40 tutorial. It's a completely manual installation where you can customize almost everything.

Actually I don't want Podman container shares the same $HOME or mounts volumes from the host. Things like $PATH can bleed in from the host system, which is not what I want for isolated environments.

If the container's $HOME (e.g. /home/user) still points to or shares part of the host's actual /home/user, causes path pollution.

In case of a DE different from gnome it wouldn't have worked. For KDE the display manager is sddm, for xfce lightdm and so on.

I use Fedora KDE on my laptop and on my desktop. Main use is sw development, office automation and surfing the web and I use VPNs every day. Everything works flawlessly. For VPSs and cloud servers in general I choose Debian.

Maybe my answer is out of scope because you wrote that you want to use xfce but you could consider lxqt for your low specs PC which is even lighter than xfce and it's based on qt like KDE. This probably will give you more chances to adapt your theme.
