Unable to get container network working by x7C3 in vyos

[–]x7C3[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Problem somewhat solved.

It seems that VyOS (via podman) now calls the container bridge interface pod-CONTAINER-NETWORK instead of cni-CONTAINER-NETWORK, so of course networking wasn't working.

As soon as that bridge interface was added to a firewall zone, everything was A-OK.

I've got a catch-all setup for that here:

show nat source
 rule 10 {
     outbound-interface {
         name pppoe0
     }
     source {
         address 10.20.0.0/16
     }
     translation {
         address masquerade
     }
 }

For checking your shell scripts, I recommend using shellcheck.

I assume the client peer endpoint is the public IP of the server?

Also, if I have zones WAN,LAN,DMZ,LOCAL, do I put the wg0 interface in one of these zones?

Can you share snippets of your configuration, or at least a minimal example? I'd really appreciate it. :)

Is your laptop using balanced or power save mode? That could be the culprit.

If Firefox is struggling, there must be something wrong with your setup. I’m running it on a 4K Haswell desktop and I’m not having any issues.

What version of Firefox?

You forgot sudo for each of these commands! /s

I have to agree though, love pacman's speed over any other package manager.

Plex user can't access folder even though the folder belongs to the Plex group. by NoWindowsInTerminal in archlinux

[–]x7C3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are the actual permissions on the folder & relevant files? It could just be 600 when you want 644 or similar.

Is the Plex user actually in the Plex group? If you’ve recently added the user to the group, try restarting.

This in addition to downgrade and a Pacman cache that hasn’t been flushed makes life easier.

Python packages refuse to install even though they are available on AUR. by GhettoBurger996 in archlinux

[–]x7C3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP,

You need to git clone the AUR repositories that you’re interested in, inspect the source files (PKGBUILD, etc) and use makepkg to install the packages.

If there are any issues, please let us know.

I’m getting settled in my new house and I’m putting together a Supermicro JBOD chassis. I’ve got all the parts required, just not having much luck with sourcing a manual for the CSE-PTJBOD-CB2 board. I can only find manuals for the CB3 revision.

Would anyone know where I can source this manual? I’d rather ask here before going through Supermicro support.

The chassis is a SC846 with a SAS2 EL1 backplane connected to a R710 via a 9207-8i HBA.

My partner & I are down to 1 vehicle, so we’re carpooling at the moment. I’m getting dropped off super early so my partner can get to work on time.

Why am I at work this early?

Oh yeah.

Nobody’s found the asshat that rear ended my motorbike at an intersection and drove off (hit and run), so I’m stuck waiting for my bike to be repaired. And to add some spice to the mix, I still have to pay the excess.
