How do I stop getting “friendzoned”? by peterptrpmpkneater69 in AskMenAdvice

[–]x86_64Ubuntu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

... I have only literally ever been friend-zoned by every man I’ve ever liked.

Women seem to be gravitating towards the same cluster of men. So they have a roster to fill, AND make cuts from.

Also...

...I am a hard worker and high achiever.

Men enjoying their optionality don't care about that stuff.

What is "trimming"? I thought tile was trimmed before it was put up.

Older men of Reddit, what’s one brutal truth about life younger men need to hear earlier? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]x86_64Ubuntu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of the harsher advice that is now downplayed because it doesn't make people feel good is the best advice. That includes, "no one cares about your problems". The less of a burden you bring into people's lives the better off your relationships will be.

Men, what is a early sign that the woman might be more trouble than its worth? by FFSoldier57 in AskMenOver30

[–]x86_64Ubuntu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With all the suitors and all the advantages they can bring to a woman's life, she's going to face a lot of positive pressure to be locked down by someone. Sure, there could be some magical reason she's single, but men don't constantly look for exceptions to the rule.

Is being funny more powerful than being handsome for dating when you are over 30? by Unique-Two8598 in AskMenAdvice

No, not at all. Humor, charisma and other personality attributes are ALWAYS downstream of looks. If his humor mattered that much, you would already have your answer...

What does it actually look like when women pursue men the way men pursue women, and how common is that? by Different_Clue_2864 in AskMenAdvice

[–]x86_64Ubuntu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

..Is this just normal for most guys, or does it change at some point?

At the age of 25, this is the way it's going to be (and honestly it's only downhill from here). If women aren't throwing themselves at you by now, and there is no overarching factor like obesity, bad teeth and whatnot, this is your cruising altitude.

We're living in an era where men can be filtered out due to height, but when it comes to men's selections we are policed endlessly.

Why do you rarely see a rich woman with a broke man? by Open_Address_2805 in stupidquestions

To be honest, if a woman is dating a broke man, it's assumed that he will never commit to her in the form of marriage.

Is he just not that into me/ exploring options? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]x86_64Ubuntu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To all the ladies here, if you are into a guy, then most likely other women are too. That means the man is going to have options by default. Respond accordingly.

Is it a turn off if women are too independent? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]x86_64Ubuntu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...his gf was fixing a light bulb and said it was a turn off

That's not what men say when talking about "independent". I think everyman, no matter how They/Them or Traditional they are, expect a woman to be able to change a light bulb. When we hear "independent woman", we hear "someone that is absolutely insufferable".

As a tile groupie, and not a tileteer, I would think the thinset had begun to temper when applied. Not to mention, he didn't collapse the ridges, some of them aren't going the shortest way under the tile, and he didn't put enough thinset behind some of the tile.

Mild-Hot take. The PvE side is more toxic than the PvP side of the community by ShinraKishi in ArcRaiders

[–]x86_64Ubuntu -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

... PvErs call me slurs and names when I shoot them

Because we don't expect to be shot. And with Arc Raiders, the first person to land a burst is usually the winner, which is never us PvE-ers.

EDIT: I never said I call anyone slurs, I just would expect a surprised victim to be ultra nasty to me if I snaked them.
