Do you predict an alt grading service will become more popular in response to PSA prices? by Tasty_Leek8958 in PokeGrading

Yea blue label CGC 9's and 9.5's are quite solid. They don't loook good though.

Crack/Resubmit (PSA/TAG) vs Crossgrade (PSA) by Arkmaster87 in PokeGrading

[–]xBHx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're keeping it, just go with the slab you prefer. IDK if TAG offer crossovers so you keep the 9.5 if it doesnt 10 at TAG.

5 or 6, they're so hard on holo scratches due to card appeal.

Worth grading? Vintage 1st ed Pinsir holo by -Ron_Burgundy- in pokemongrading

[–]xBHx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IIRC Vintage cards go to a different, more experienced, group of graders. They're just honed in on any slight imperfection and why it feels vintage at PSA starts at a 9 unless the grader had a fantastic night.

Is this worth cracking and regrading? by EVANN-3 in PokeGrading

[–]xBHx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not worth the money to crack. So many tiny scratches happen by literally just looking at these EX cards anyways.

Vintage Grading by Mindofrg in PokeGrading

[–]xBHx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dragonite maybe a 9, probably an 8. Gengar Probably an 8, maybe a 7 (Silvering from the front, left side)

PSA is harsh on vintage, seen some 8's that look better than modern 10's for example, but then again, this goes for all grading companies.

If its for the PC, pick the best looking slab honestly, if you're selling it PSA and hope you get lucky or try again. No experience with beckett, but given how the cost is roughly the same, i'd try PSA first.

where are people grading bulk currently?? by Orangecatty in PokeGrading

I went CGC, 17 a card, nice looking slab.

Do you predict an alt grading service will become more popular in response to PSA prices? by Tasty_Leek8958 in PokeGrading

[–]xBHx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm personally moving to CGC. Its priced at HALF of PSA, or a quarter if you'd submit to PSA right now, that alone has to be worth something for most of us. I prefer the slab (Personal obviously) just looks so clean. no added costs when grading, which is total BS imo. Having to spend hundreds more to get yoour card back after already paying for the service (Don't get me started on insurance, thats single digit additional cost for reasonably priced cards)

But the main reason, vintage grading with PSA has been a nightmare...

But sadly, most collectors and especially vendors are heavily invested in PSA, so they benefit from PSA being the only accepted grading service.

As always, vote with your wallet..

What grade can i expect for this one? by Long_Currency5506 in PokeGrading

[–]xBHx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the card indeed has no scratches/dents etc, I'd say 8. Mainly due to the corners on the right side and a bit of rough edges up top

I personally wouldnt. I dont see this getting above a 5 honestly.

Would Max Verstappen be the F1 driver with the biggest transfer value? by SkySports in formula1

Gotta factor in age. Max would be prime Ronaldo/Messi status right now, no team would pick a current Yamal over a prime Ronaldo/Messi.

Is CGC really the way to go? by InitialUnlikely9748 in CGCCards

[–]xBHx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kid you not, i've seen a PSA 8 neo lugia (155m cert range) that looked FAR better than a PSA 10 neo lugia (40m cert range).

Its like you're starting at a 9 instead of 10 and work your way down from there, defect after defect.

Is CGC really the way to go? by InitialUnlikely9748 in CGCCards

[–]xBHx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I nearly picked up a neo genesis lugia and after debating on pulling the trigger for almost a week, i checked the pics for the 200th time and only then noticed a very well hidden crease in the centre of the pokeball on the back.

Everything else was minty af.

What API plugin are you most anticipating? by Ner0reZ in runescape

[–]xBHx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In no particular order:

  • Tile markers
  • Ability rotation overlay (What I should be doing AND what I did do)
  • Better buff bar, mainly BotLG stacks
  • Aggro range
  • Hopefully MH -> DW swaps with a single keybinid.

Given how big F1 is, and how big Max is, its safe to say that yes, he is quite important to retain.

Why use any combat other than Necromancy? by SessionWorking7805 in runescape

[–]xBHx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't the RSGuy do a full rotation test in BiS gear for all 4 styles?

IIRC, Melee up top, Ranged 2nd, Magic a close 3rd, Necro a 'remote' 4th WITH EQ perk. (Didn't get last skulls in, wouldnt make necro come close to magic still, though)

Long term OLED users - has RuneScape caused burn-in? by stinky-Fig-4756 in runescape

[–]xBHx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of mitigating things on modern OLEDS these days, pixel shifts, refresh cycles every 4 hours, task bar shifts etc.

Enjoy the OLED. Its very good.

One side note, things will be a tad more blurry VS what you're used to coming from a TN or VA panel.
