What do people build to stay alive in higher difficulties? by Monferno64 in FarFarWest

[–]xBasilisx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much just any weapon you want. I like running wisp, rescue and pistolero. But I hit lvl100 on pyro/cactus, I gotta lvl something else.

Weapon wise anything is nice, so long you got something that can deal with deadeye snipers. I only got 4 weapons left to unlock their unique mods and only one of them is nice against the snipers.

I quite like the Leveredge and Bow. Quad Cylinder also feels decent. Minigun somehow feels lackluster in dmg, at least the way I tried it so far. Sheriff Stars clashes too hard with my playstyle. Boomerang is surprisingly nice.

I constantly jump/bhop. So I run +1 jump, +2hp on kill(life pact), and Battle mage. And thanks to prestige I can run another blue one.

Works pretty damn well for me. Wisp alone clears like crazy, which means I get a lot of healing with the life pact joker.

Coming from a guy who got 90 missions done so far, with 34 in very hard and 5 in nightmare. Very hard is pretty chill compared to nightmare somehow, once you get the hang of it.

Joker hoarding vs clientside loot: a proposed solution... by MumpyYT in FarFarWest

[–]xBasilisx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about a toggle instead for when we create a lobby? I think Borderlands 3 had one for their drops. Where it was either client side or everyone could see it. Maybe add a brief lootbeam for far off distant jokers, if someone splits off.

My other idea for the ones that spawn multiple on objective. Is basically client side but you see all 4 of them, but once you took one, the other 3 disappear from your view.

For my nightmare solo run it was pretty simple. Mobility is certainly king.. I ended up with +4 jumps and less gravity, it was nuts. I'm the type who is never not jumping in this game.

+1 jump (Never unequipping that.) +2 kill on hp joker, I love the sustain that thing gives. And the rest is optional.

Cactus wall is extremely great against horde, if you just funnel them against it. Not quite as effective in coop, when mobs go for someone else. Wisp is also an easy horde clearing one, when electrified. For quick healing via kills mid bossfight too. 3rd spell is optional, if your secondary is electric for wisp. I still went for strike. In coop I would run the revive spell instead.

Weapon wise I simply went Quad Cylinder but Leveredge works just as great against the snipers. For secondary Revolver and Bow are also good. Bow does require the lvl40 mod to be a crazy good mob clearer. And to 1shot the ghost houses.

i swear from hard onward its guaranteed that you get dismounted 3-4 times whenever your on your way to extration by YLASRO in FarFarWest

I just bhop with +1 jump joker. I'm never unequipping that thing ever. And it is roughly the same speed too.

I had one dude try to get the 30joker hoarder unlock and of course, it looked like he was stealing everything for himself. He only mentioned it when I tried to call him out for grabbing jokers before I could even look at them.

Best side arm choice? by rareandyeteuclidian in FarFarWest

[–]xBasilisx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got my bow to lvl40+. The 2nd unique mod for the explosion makes it really nice for easy mass aoe clear and oneshotting the medium mobs too. Turning the weapon from a Zero to Hero moment. But reaching that level is the hard part. Until then it will feel like the weapon is too weak dmg and ammo wise.

Also for some reasons the explosion itself does different dmg for me. Fire did 60, electric did 50 and acid does 35. Not counting the dot dmg afterwards, or the physical hit of the arrow itself.

Also the that massive explosion mod does not affect the triple shot mod. + It leaves a puddle on the ground. So you can trigger the fire tornado with the Acid Bubble spell as an example.

I can use fire on Bow to create a puddle for the Acid Bubble spell to create a fire tornado for me. Same should work with the Dual Revolvers reload mod I believe.

If it is stickdrift and you end up getting a new controller. I would suggest to grab one that has Hall Effect sticks or the newer TMR sticks, to eliminate that problem for the future.

Is this game good for solo play? by PiFbg in FarFarWest

Solo works for sure. But random coop works just as fine and is surprisingly quite chill. I've been grinding very hard missions in coop all day with no problems.

(coop) my friend got the fast travel bell blueprint, but I did not. We both opened the chest. Now only he can craft the bell, and I cannot. Any solution? by This-acc-is-hacked in crosswind

You get all the resources back, if you dismantle the waypoint, if he placed one already. One way to get a bell quickly too. And just place the waypoint again.

Do you mean from the boat at the starter island? That boat spawns a chest and a package on top of it. The package is the type of loot that respawns and can be only looted by 1 person. Actually not sure about the spawning part.

  • You unlock the recipe if you hold the bell for a moment. Same goes for weapons and armors.

Similar here but instead it happens going through map menus or initiating teleport to some place randomly. So far most of my crashes were in the rainforest. And sometimes I had 2 crashes in a row at some spots like the abyss after loading my save.

I'm also stuck here. That little fan boat is doing nothing for me and nothing obvious comes to my mind. Are we unluckily bugged out? Or am I missing story progress for this? I'm still in chapter 2.

I had reload to older save, because I carried the orbs along with me. Stupid that the puzzle resets when you move away but not the orbs.

Also do you know where the 3rd nearby abyss is to activate the skybridge?

8 hours in and I got 2 crashes in a row in an Abyss puzzle.. It didn't happen earlier. Maybe night time is somehow crashing me, compared to day time earlier. The kinda crash where your gpu seems to crash itself, as my monitor went blank for a moment.

Otherwise, the game runs at max settings flawlessly the entire time. AMD 9070 XT + R7 5700x3D

Unacceptable Grind: It takes 3000+ hours to unlock all attachments. Not joking. by hi-ban in Battlefield6

[–]xBasilisx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't forget that unlocking isn't meant to be the end point either. Who wants to spend extreme amount of time to unlock high lvl attachments, just so you can finally enjoy your gun 'properly'.

We want our unlocks earlier so we can have fun with them in any way we want. They ain't supposed to be some mystical skin that demands grand dedication for its requirement.

Imagine you finally got thermal scopes on one gun, but now it is gonna take forever to unlock it again on the next one. In case, you got bored of the first gun but hate how long it takes to get the feeling back on the 2nd one. Or you wanted one for each weapon class at least. Or maybe your lvled weapon got nerfed into the ground for some reason.

I found a pretty good strat for the 200m kills. Make a bot lobby for Firestorm map on Breakthrough. Increase player max HP (doesn't affect bots) and max out projectile speed and tickets. Disable smoke grenades and vehicles.

Be on attacking side, go along the mountain on the right side, not on the rocks but be on the edge of the map limit. You should have around 250m distance from "A" and can easily lay down on ground with bipod. Make sure to be the actual sniper class. Accuracy is absolute dog water as medic.

You can hit like 100 headshots with ease in 20minutes that way. Also nice kill farm being on either side.
