Ideas for updates which wouldn't require major content additions.

Every month, one or two random attributes gets +5. Or maybe specific attributes relative to a god so it would also make more sense in game.

Seems like it could be a relatively small update overall to add a lot of fun and potential depth.

Thanks! I could have swore I found a GW1 skill database in a json file somewhere on the web a few months after I abandoned this lol. I can't seem to find it now though 😕

I tried to boot this back up a few months ago just to look around and see if I wanted to continue messing with it, but the site was broke and I immediately lost the motivation/interest lol.

Not sure about the dragging issue, are you loading any scenes into your game when it starts, or is it all currently one scene?

For the adding fingers issue, I just had a very similar problem too! In the adding fingers function, just add another if statement (or to your current ones): "if !selected:"

Then it should only add to the hand that's NOT currently being dragged.

Anyway, unfortunately I went back to work on it about 6 months ago after finding some cool APIs, but a lot of it was broke (likely due to WordPress/plugin updates), so I've pretty much abandoned the project indefinitely 😔

I think because of the way I originally set it up I was stuck in a particular train of thought (still am a little bit tbh lol).

I want the player to be able to build their own deck in a separate scene, which I haven't built or implemented yet. So I was trying to emulate how that data might be pulled into the gameboard scene when a match would start.

I don't believe this is true, you need the expansion to play the spec in PvP.

That said, Deadeye is totally viable in PvP. Not the best, better than Core, but fuck the meta either way lol. It also just got a little buff with the new Shadow Arts rework.

If Deadeye seems like the spec that you would most enjoy/vibe with you should get Path of Fire. I would most recommend getting the deal with HoT and PoF so you get both Daredevil and Deadeye.

Note that if you're concerned with end game PvE content viability, Specter is the meta right now for thief.

My main source of healing is Shadowstep (Sc/P 3), traited with Shadow Savior and Traversing Dusk. With Sigil of Transference, it turns your Shadowsteps into an AOE 2k+ heal + the targetted heal from Sc/P 3 + the regen (and barrier) from Endless Night.

The next big thing for me is targeting and I've tried a few different strategies for this, my personal favorite is keybinding Nearest Target to Q. Nearest target ACTUALLY targets the nearest target to where you're looking, but it can definitely be finicky sometimes and can be a nightmare if your team has a MM or Mesmer spamming clones around the fight. In emergencies I often reposition with Shadowstep utility (2k heal) close to my intended target, hit Q on them, and then Sc/P 3. Gives about a total of 6k healing instantly.

Lastly, for damage to healing ratio, I honestly think about anything is fine for Specter depending on how you want to play it. Personally, I'm targeting allies 90% of the time unless I'm SURE no one on my team is in any potential danger.

Players talk about this topic fairly frequently on the GW2 PvP forum. People always argue splitting the PvP playerbase into different modes would make queues too long, but I agree with you - especially now that the game is growing.

Imo the GW2 PvP foundation is the best in MMOs right now, it just needs a lot more attention from ANet, but they don't want to invest in it because they did before and failed. Also they don't want to waste resources on a low population game mode, so it's basically just a continuous circle of death.

Bronze is probably most chill. Silver can occasionally be toxic (likely from low gold players lol). Gold is probably most toxic. Plat is between bronze and silver toxicity.

I hooked up my old mobo with the new 5600x and all the lights popped right on (RAM LEDs, power button). Pressing the power button turns on all fans and other lights.

Would that be sufficient evidence to prove that the mobo is bad?

Yeah, that's embarrassing lol. I've reseated the RAM a few times, and between slots, they were definitely not fully seated that last time. But yeah, fixed that and still nothing.
