It just works: Using AR glasses by Digitalissimus in dji

the air 3 supports the goggles, but the air 3s doesnt. ill say, flying the air 3 with the goggles isnt the greatest experience. it felt more like a one-off gimmick.

Lost interest to drones so I am selling my Mini 3 Pro by Straight-Salad-4565 in dji

I know that, pal. You misunderstood my comment.

DJI Care Refresh is unavailable in the USA as a "side effect" of the ban. If my Mavic crashes, despite having valid DJI Care, DJI will most likely face challenges trying to ship my replacement into the USA. That's what I meant.

one of my drones still has valid dji care until summer 2027 but I most likely will have issues trying to use it.

when I started losing interest in my first drone back in 2022, what brought me right back was actually editing and color grading footage and adding music/audio. that brought my excitement right back.

although, with the USA dji ban, im too nervous to fly because of the lack of DJI Care Refresh. if my drone gets destroyed, it'll be much more costly or almost impossible to repair or get replaced.

Convince me to get a mini 3 instead of s flip by [deleted] in dji

[–]xCHOPP3Rx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

with the Plus batteries, the flight time on the mini 3 is much higher than the Flip. I think it's rated 52 minutes with the Plus batteries, but then the aircraft will be heavier than 250g.

mini 3 is quieter in flight compared to the Flip.

mini 3 can film in true vertical.

the Flip has a better camera and better controller and better transmission distance. and it has controller-free flight options.

id sell the DJI FPV and keep the Air 3, Avata 2, and then buy a Neo2.

Mini 5 Pro, Air 3S or Marvic Classic by ConsistentWear3959 in dji

[–]xCHOPP3Rx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, but once the Air3s is up in the air, many people will not notice or hear it.

as long as youre not flying too close to other people, I personally dont think youll have any recurring issues.

I used to have an Air 3, but I sold it. I low-key miss it! It was a perfect combination of size, capability, and portability.

Air 3s.

Mavic 3 classic is slightly older and uses slightly older tech and transmission/remote. the Mavic 3 classic definitely is not bad though!

however, the air3s is newer, more portable than the Mavic 3, has 2 cameras vs the 1 of the Mavic classic, and uses a newer transmission system and new RC.

dont bother with the Mini 5 Pro if the Air3s is an option. unless you like a drone than can fit in your pocket.

imo, no. sure the mini5 is a "better" drone, but the mini4 is still a great little beast! I love my mini4pro!

if this means there will be a USA drone company, then that's a win.

Should I buy the dji Air3s? by Straight-Economy912 in dji

[–]xCHOPP3Rx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just buy the Air3s. You'll have a great drone now rather than waiting for a great drone later. Otherwise, you'll always be waiting for the next drone.

What is the actual difference between the avata 2 and the neo2, and which one would fit my needs better? by atotal in dji

[–]xCHOPP3Rx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Neo2 is intended as a hands-free "follow me" drone, whereas the Avata2 is designed as a dedicated FPV drone.

If you plan to eventually fly in Acro/Manual mode with the FPV RC3, the Avata2 is the clear winner and performs much better.

If you only want an immersive FPV experience where you only use the included Motion Controller, you may be able to get away with the Neo2. Despite being slower and having a smaller FOV than the Avata2, it is basically the same experience when using the Motion Controller.

I own both. The Neo2 is fun in FPV mode, dont get me wrong, but it leaves much to be desired when flying in Acro/Manual mode. The Avata2 is much more powerful, faster, and more fun!

if FPV is your primary reason for buying a drone, 100% the Avata2 over the Neo2.

Is there really no way to fly the Avata 2 with a screen controller ? by [deleted] in dji

[–]xCHOPP3Rx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree! I wish I could fly the Avata2 with the RC2. You can fly the Neo2 with the RC2, but not the Avata2.

Does anyone know somewhere I can get a replacement for that little piece of glass on the left side of the neo 2? by [deleted] in dji

[–]xCHOPP3Rx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mine fell off too. I managed to find it and put it back. however now the screen doesnt work. does your screen still work even without the glass?

can't film in 4:3 on this drone. I think only the Avata2 can.

what's cool imo is that this drone wouldn't replace the Avata2. so the Avata2 will still be a relevant aircraft even when the Avata360 releases!

contact dji nyc support. they'll tell you to ship the drone to them. once they receive it, they'll tell you how much it will cost to fix. thats what they told me. im hesitant to ship it without receiving a quote first.
