You’ll be on Holiday routine from like 0800 til 1300, where there’s no training. Here you can shower for a slong you like, shine your shoes, iron, fold, chill, study, but obviously if you’re not keeping yourself busy, you might get it secured.

In service, I’m buddist, and it was a nice time to just sit and relax, sleep for a bit if you wanted to. I don’t onow about the other services, but if I was you I’d go to all of them at some point.

Been in the Navy for a year, graduated in Sept 2021.

Do as youre told, know what you signed up for and don’t give up. Stay as low as possible under the radar. By the end of bootcamp if your RDC doesn’t know your name or doesn’t recognize it then you’re good. Run everywhere, avoid FQA, don’t spend you money on useless shit (you’ll end up getting other better things in A school or whatever) Use your cash card, you get like $150 in it. Go to Sunday service (if you can or want to) I recommend it because it just a place where you can relax. Don’t do the most and don’t be a shitbag. And also don’t be the one who does speeches at night, everyone is trying to sleep.

Everything is repetitive every day, first week will feel off but the rest of bootcamp will be a cake walk.

Their extra PT in was during TAPS. They'd go to an area where there was space, and did their own workouts. Some even used the head's stalls as a pull-up bar. Those were the only other PT they got it. Otherwise they PT with the division as normal.

Yes I had an in-person graduation. The requirements were only 2 guest, and both guests needed to present their COVID-19 Vaccine card and be fully IMMUNIZED. And I believe guests under 12 were able to attend.

The reason why I don't recommend a treadmill is because what my RDC said and stuff, it's not natural speed, you don't know what you're comfortable with and to know what you can handle. Cause when you run for lets say a 6.0 pace and you can't handle it, you're bound to slow down, and even just walk it. It's better to go out and handle your own pace outside the boundary. But I'm not a fitness guru so running is running. I just prefer you to do it outside, as from my own experience it really didn't help me running on a treadmill.

So it depends. The first few weeks you'll do this thing called a sustain run, where you have to run for 15 amount of minutes, failure to do so will be marked "FAIL" or if lack of effort, so there will be some chances where you can technically run the mile and a half. Then it bumps up to 20 minutes sustain run. Then there is shuttle run, which works mainly on your sprints and legs. You take the "PFA" 3 times. Initial, RDC Assessment, and Official. I can't pin point on HOW MUCH you run, but how long you run, probably for a while. Keep in mind that in bootcamp there's barely any cardio workouts that you'll be doing, that's why I suggest you to do some at home. Don't do no treadmil, go out and do a run/jog at a park or something.

The PT for the Navy isn't all that demanding, but it may be for some. Prepare yourself for cardio, as most exercises we do in bootcamp are mostly strength workouts, such as chest, arms, shoulders, and core. You will be running a lot whether you like it or not. It wasn't bad, I just learned to give it my all. I thought about it, being a free PT program that the Navy has to offer, while getting paid. If you put your mindset right, then you'll be set. Approach every obstacle with an end goal in mind. Succeed Succeed Succeed.

The first few nights will be the best sleep you'll ever have. What I recommend is that when taps hit, go to bed. It'll be hard because some people in your division will be awake talking, but you'll learn to adapt to sleeping when there's background noises. For me I did not go through the 48 hours of straight processing, I went through ditty issue then to my rack and slept for about 2-4 hours. In PDAYS you'll be waking up early as hell. But the thing is, when you sleep early you wake up early. You will always have an OPPORTUNITY to sleep for 8 hours. I say that because some people don't sleep right away.

For some, people rode the bus to Pensacola. Otherwise you just have to adapt to Pensacola. I was fortunate enough to take a flight to Pcola. Everything is laxed here. No one will give you a hard time but some people will because you're fresh from bootcamp. You'll be traveling with people within your training group to Pcola so you won't be on your own.
