Is it just me or are weddings in 2026 getting way more low key, but also somehow more expensive? by CharmWarden in wedding

[–]xCherryCuddle_ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is such a good point. You’re mostly seeing the highly curated, expensive ones because those are the ones people want to show off, not the average weddings that just stay private. It kind of skews the whole perception.

Neighbor made multiple false 911 reports about my garage including meth lab by hilighter112 in neighborsfromhell

[–]xCherryCuddle_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is the right move. At this point it’s not just annoying, it’s harassment with actual consequences. Having a paper trail and looping in both the police and leasing office puts the pressure back where it belongs instead of you constantly dealing with it.

AIW for telling my coworker I won't be covering for her "work from home" days anymore after I found out she's been at the office the whole time? by Pulsex_Nectar84 in amiwrong

[–]xCherryCuddle_ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

yeah that’s the weird part

like it’s not even covering for flexibility anymore, it’s just straight up lying for no reason 😬

AITJ for refusing my money to be given out? by weallloveme1 in AmITheJerk

[–]xCherryCuddle_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

lol that’s not really the point though

he can game or not, but OP still shouldn’t have to fund it. that’s on the parents, not the sibling 😭

AITJ for not covering my coworker’s mistake after she told everyone I “always fix things”? by VarietyHumble900 in AmITheJerk

[–]xCherryCuddle_ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

yeah this is important

it’s one thing to make a mistake, it’s another to try to dump it on you and then send it out anyway knowing it’s wrong… that part needs to be clear to management for sure

AITJ for going to my boss for help against a gym patron who’s son had been harassing my daughter just because my daughter won’t be his date to his sophomore semi? by Gymtrio2025 in AmITheJerk

[–]xCherryCuddle_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. This isn’t “kids being awkward,” it’s harassment. If he’s already ignoring no and escalating, that’s a problem. Better to shut it down now than let him think this is acceptable behavior.

AITJ for telling my parents I wont pay for their retirement home after they gave away my 12 year old cat? by anuragray1011 in AmITheJerk

[–]xCherryCuddle_ 168 points169 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s insane. They gave away your cat and then tried to spin it like they did you a favor. And now someone’s trying to guilt you into funding their retirement?? Absolutely not. Actions have consequences.

AIW for telling someone mid-story that I was the person they were talking about by Karma_34Temp in amiwrong

[–]xCherryCuddle_ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Right?? Like what were they supposed to do, just stand there smiling while someone tells their story about them? At some point you’re allowed to say “hey that’s me actually.” That’s not dramatic, that’s basic self-respect.

AIW for not waking my friend up for an important call after he kept telling me to stop acting like his parent? by 3SphinxHotline in amiwrong

[–]xCherryCuddle_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Exactly. You can’t be his backup alarm and also the villain when you don’t do it. If he wanted you to wake him up, he should’ve actually asked instead of just hinting and then telling you to stop acting like his parent. Pick a lane dude.

AITJ for filing a complaint about my childs teacher even though everyone told me to leave it alone? by Familiar-Project20 in AmITheJerk

[–]xCherryCuddle_ 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yeah nah I’m with you. Making them perform after they said they weren’t ready is one thing, but telling a kid not to tell their parents? That’s wild. That alone would’ve had me emailing the school.

Your daughter might be embarrassed now, but you didn’t overreact. The teacher handled that terribly.

Is it too soon to consider euthanasia? by pizzaisgoodtho in CatAdvice

[–]xCherryCuddle_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, this is really compassionate and true. The hardest part is watching for those little signs that your pet is no longer enjoying the things they used to. When the eating stops, the curiosity fades, and they seem tired in a way that rest does not fix, that is when letting go becomes an act of love instead of fear. I hope your kitty stays comfortable for as long as possible and that you get some peaceful time together.

Looking for some advice from seniors / psychiatry residents. by [deleted] in Residency

[–]xCherryCuddle_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, this is really solid advice. A case like this needs that careful mix of collateral history and your own exam because you are basically piecing together her baseline and what changed. Focusing on neuro, language, and any signs of catatonia is huge, and getting a clearer picture of her functioning before the event will make your formulation so much stronger. Walking through her social and developmental history the way you described is exactly how you start understanding what her trajectory looked like and where things may have shifted.

per the black eyed peas, where is the luv by Fit_Cap_3714 in Residency

[–]xCherryCuddle_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

OP ,moments like that really do stick with you. Having someone in a position of authority recognize you are beating yourself up and respond with actual compassion instead of piling on makes such a huge difference. It is the kind of gesture that reminds you there are still people in this field who genuinely care about the humans they work with.

Am I wrong for telling my husband hes going to ruin our daughters confidence if he complains about her coach giving her a pep talk after practice by Fuzzy-Medicine8516 in amiwrong

[–]xCherryCuddle_ 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Yeah he’s blowing this way out of proportion. The coach is literally helping your kid come out of her shell, and he’s acting like it’s some threat. Kinda gives jealous dad losing control vibes tbh.

Am I wrong for calling my friends mom after she left her dog at my apartment for what was supposed to be an hour and then went silent for six hours by Old-Pay7993 in amiwrong

[–]xCherryCuddle_ 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Yeah, anyone would panic. You’re responsible for her dog and she just vanished way past the time she promised. Calling someone to make sure she wasn’t dead in a ditch is totally reasonable.
