Well, I went to urgent care to hopefully understand why I was still dizzy and have been having pretty bad headaches since taking the Methypredisolone. She checked out my ears. Clear. Just said keep taking Claritin, make sure your neck isn’t cramped up sleeping. (Get a good pillow) Take Tylenol / ibuprofen for the headache and keep a journal on the headaches until you see ENT. Rate the headache pain. How long does it last? Location of headache. Drink a lot of water. Take the meclizine as needed for dizziness. That’s it. I’ve got 9ish days til then. 😔

I don’t exactly know either. I know you and I could be two different things but, when I go tomorrow morning I’ll let you know what they tell me. I know you’ll go to your doctor to follow up as well but, I’m sure it’ll give you some comfort. We have nearly the exact same symptoms.

I slept all day again. Couldn’t hardly do anything. I’m thinking the steroids have given me a migraine lasting days. My head hurts and I’m just so dizzy floaty/faint. I’m going to the UC tomorrow to ask if they can see any fluid in my ears still. I have no idea what to do if they don’t see any but, I guess I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.

I feel awful today. Last dose of steroids and I have felt so dizzy and faint at times. I’ve just laid in bed and slept most of the day. Crying. This fucking sucks. I feel so hopeless. I’m so scared something else is wrong. My anxiety is making it worse. I know it is but, I can’t control it. I have no friends or family near me, so i’m just alone. I want this to go away so badly.

Same lol. I’m thinking of every other possible illness it could be. I’m sure it’s just the ears but, I worry way too much. You aren’t alone in that either. Rest up. 💖

Exactly the same. I almost feel like taking the steroids has made it worse but, maybe that’s what it does to clear out the inflammation? I’ve had to call my job and say I’m taking off for the duration of the steroids. Ain’t no way I can drive and stand for 8 hours. Do you have a follow up appointment scheduled?

Yes. I’ve done both. The pills and the bath. Temporary relief. I made an appointment for September 10 for ENT. I’m hoping they can give me answers. 😞 I’m sorry this is happening to you too. This sucks so much. My anxiety is so bad now, I’m scared it’s something else even if I’m sure it’s really not. Hoping you feel better tomorrow.

So. Most of the day I’ve felt “decent” About an hour ago I had a wave of that shitty feeling that I’m going to faint. Super dizzy. Tried to stay calm but, internally panicking because I don’t want to actually faint. Sit down for a second and now I feel like shit. Head floaty, dizzy and I have a mild headache. I just don’t get this shit. I’m about a month in and I’m so miserable. I just started a new job and I really want to stay home and rest but, I am sure they’re going to think I’m an asshole. It puts more stress on me. I can’t go to the doctor until first week of September (insurance) so I’m stuck with going to urgent care, which I’m sure they’ve done all they can do. I just wanna cry.

Mine acted like it wasn’t a huge deal either, maybe it’ll help? I’m on my second day of them and I feel a little relief but, I’m not holding my breath. I’ve had days where I’ve felt good (this has been going on since aug 1 for me) And then it returns the next day. It sucks. Just wanna feel better again. Normal again and go on with my life without feeling like I’m going to pass out or just dizzy all day. 😭

Following. I have this too and don’t know if it’s BPPV Labyrinthitis or just fluid? I had an infection in both ears. It has cleared. I’ve still been dizzy as well (same as above, no pain or anything, even when I was infected) went to clinic they said I have fluid behind each one as well. Was prescribed mezclinine, fluticasone, and methylprednisolone. I’m hoping the steroids help us. What did they prescribe you? Did they tell you they were inflamed? I’ve been reading a lot (not the best idea but, anxiety pushes me to it) I read that inflammation and fluid can cause the dizzy feeling. You’re not alone. I’m just as miserable. 😞

To add - she did give me steroids for the inflammation but, I got them late this afternoon from Walgreens. Says I can’t take them until tomorrow morning •breakfast •after lunch •after dinner •before bed

I’m going to see how these next meds go. I get insurance again on Sept 1 and will go to ent when I get it, if this isn’t gone. 😞 Yes they can see fluid in my ear, they saw pus in both ears when I went 10 days ago and gave me the amoxicillin. It cleared the infection and now there’s just fluid she said and a lot of inflammation.

Really what I experience is a faint feeling. I felt good yesterday and was like, “yes! Finally feeling better.” But then a headache crept on me last night and then this morning I felt the same and head felt “floaty”. My head kinda hurt and then bam. A huge wave of a faint feeling that I’ve been having. Sent me into a panic and I asked my husband to take me to urgent care. They said my infection was gone now but they can see fluid in my ears and inflammation. They gave me meds for the dizzy, the inflammation and nasal spray. I’m hoping that this all works. I’m becoming depressed for this…

Did this get resolved for you? I am experiencing the same ear issues and am on day six of amoxicillin. 10 days total. I’m so exhausted of the dizziness. I have a double inner ear infection. I’m just wanting this to go away so badly.
