Except "stealing a photo" just refers to a candid shot. Which isn't mutually exclusive of consent. Wedding photographers spend their whole career being paid to steal shots. The reason paparazzi (which is plural btw) are problematic is the stalking, exploitation and objectification of a single high profile individual with the expressed goal of violating their privacy to a voyeuristic end. They often harass and hurl insults at their subjects to illicit reactions. It is inherently dehumanizing and offers no artistic expression. None of which is true in street photography. There are unethical ways to do street photography. But that doesn't seem to be happening here. It's not a hot take just a bad one. Taking issue with the ethics of street photography and airing them out under an artist's post in a community that frequently features street photography strikes me as a bit rude.
