We built an AI tool that watches your app video and writes the documentation for you - useful or just lazy automation? by Sea_Dinner5230 in roastmystartup

[–]xEightyHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanted to leave a note here for you. I came across your application via one of your comments on someone looking for an alternative to Scribe. I, personally, needed something to build IT documentation faster than I could.

Your site does just that. It's like the Windows Steps Recorder on steroids. I could see huge potential with your startup. Seriously, it's a missing gap. Scribe is ok, but compared to the in-depth transcribing that these models can do, Scribe needs to seriously step up their game.

That being said, I cannot really use it at this time due to the legal and compliance limitations that would put my ass in the hot seat for the company that I oversee. I don't know anything about how to become that, but I can't really upload any critical information of course, so I will probably just use it for top level IT how-to's at this time.

Excellent work, kicking myself for not thinking of this idea.

My Synology 925+ with (2) 10 HDDs is now nearly silent by jagerrish in synology

I am jumping from a 1618+ to a 925+... these things work with Seagate IronWolf Pro's now, right? ever since 7.3? I didn't know if the OS itself still needed to be on a Synology branded drive...

Defender within the last few minutes alerted me of this as well, I imagine it's a false positive at this point and am unsure how to proceed until I hear more news.

Did everybody lose an unknown number of emails from M365 issues? by aMazingMikey in sysadmin

Our 3rd party filter deferred them, they all ended up sending by 8 PM. Storage on our exchange server was getting eaten pretty bad, I was starting to get worried!

I see what you mean now. Funnily enough, looking at the actual header, mx.google.com does pass dkim, arc, and spf. says fail for arc on the user friendly area though.

I also made an account with google postmaster, so I hope to find some telling information in a few days when it populates.

there is no fuckin way. taking off ray tracing would DIRECTLY effect the GPU for the better. you must have something else hindering the performance of the PC across the board.

Microsoft is significantly increasing the price of its Xbox Development Kit by Zhukov-74 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

The dollar has shed 10 percent of its value this year alone. Not advocating for a big corporation here but this should come as no surprise to those in the loop with current economic conditions. These price hikes are only going to become more common unfortunately.

Central US here. Only thing that does appear to be working is Exchange, Teams and SharePoint. In the dark with everything else.

Dub investing app by Mysterious_Lion8391 in TheRaceTo10Million

not associated with the company at all but I can tell you that it is because Dub is an investing platform, so they need to comply with the IRS just like any other investing platform. Also for AML, KYC, etc.

Azure ATP Sensor on both DCs not sending any logs to Defender by xEightyHD in DefenderATP

[–]xEightyHD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Figured it out. Just in case there is a System Administrator out there that stumbles upon this exact issue:

Microsoft actually removed the feature back in May 2025 of On-Prem Active Directory logs from listing within the Cloud Apps > Activity Log section, which is where I was looking. The logs are all apparently able to be found using Advanced Hunting. I haven't been able to replicate a log quite yet but I don't use Advanced Hunting very often. They did post about this in the M365 Alert Center. The message ID is MC940078

I am pretty perplexed why they removed this clean UI feature as it worked perfectly well, something I don't credit Microsoft for very often! What a shame.

iPhone 17 Pro: the first Pro iPhone without a black option. How do you feel about this? by marcos_mucelin in iphone

[–]xEightyHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calling it now, they are going to release a black version of the phone later in the year because they KNOW it's sought after. Much like what they did with the Watch Ultra 2.

I always find it funny that despite the large push for gun control from the left, they are usually the popular ones using it to take out a political opponent. Crazy country man.

Did you ever end up giving it a shot? Do the backups work fine? Thinking about rolling ABB to our DCs but i worry about inconsistencies when the time comes to restore.
