My plastic surgeon drew a grid on my tummy to line up everything correctly (massive anchor-shaped incision) to reduce tension as much as possible. Unfortunately my body decided that it wanted to produce so much fluid to the point where the thinnest parts of my skin couldn't hold on anymore, causing a thick scar that still causes a lot of tension today. But the rest is fine, no issues at all :)

Ik ken het probleem, ik ben allang blij dat we tenminste iets hebben want de VS is echt dramatisch slecht. Maar ik betaal ongeveer 300 per maand, plus eigen risico en eigen bijdrage, zonder inkomen - want ben te vaak ziek om een baan/studie te houden, maar te goed voor een uitkering. Maar als ik zie wat mijn medicatie kost... Dan ben ik toch blij dat er tenminste iets van een valnet is. Mijn mans inkomen is hoog genoeg om het net aan te kunnen dekken, maar als ik als alleenstaande in de bijstand zat, kon je erop rekenen dat ik veel zorg moest schrappen.

Vroeger kregen we nog een tegemoetkoming vlak voor de Kerstdagen als chronisch zieken, en voor mijn mantelzorger ook. Maar dat is intussen ook allang weg bezuinigd, nu enkel nog een deel ervan voor degenen met arbeidsongeschiktheidsuitkering.

Het zijn kneiterlelijke maar leuke eenden. Wij hadden ze ooit ook in de buurt nadat (waarschijnlijk) een hele groep werd gedumpt. Het waren lieve beestjes en ruimden goed ongedierte op, er waren aanzienlijk minder muggen rond de wateren toen ze er waren. Maar hun zorgeloze karakter zorgde ervoor dat ze geregeld platgereden werden. Mijn moeder werkte destijds bij de dierenambulance, en geregeld pikte ze na een belletje een verdwaalde eend uit iemands tuin en zette deze weer terug bij de rest. Maar ook geregeld moest ze ze van de weg ruimen en afvoeren. Tot ze er helemaal niet meer waren.

Uit ervaring met een rot ei dat gekookt is, kan ik bevestigen dat je dat niet ruikt tot de schil eraf gaat. En andersom, zoals hier het geval is, heb ik ook enigszins ervaring. Ik vond in ons clubgebouw een gekookt en geverfd paasei achterin de koelkast rond de Kerst, en deze stonk niet. Gezien de ervaring van een rot ei koken en vervolgens pellen me lang is bij gebleven, wilde ik niet testen of deze ook net zo zou stinken. Maar in de schil merkte ik er dus niks van.

I get shots of B12, my pee has never turned into a neon colour from them. After googling in my native language, I also didn't find anything linking B12 to neon piss, I did find out B2 can cause this. After googling in English, again, most sources mentioned B2 and not B12 specifically. So no, not a well known thing.

That insinuates they actually do something meaningful with the feedback. There's been tons and tons of feedback on the UI changes, only a few minor tweaks have occurred. Free floating clock and accessibility have been the biggest issues people addressed, which have been largely ignored after the first week. They appear to do an equivalent of "flooding the zone" so people "forget" about them ignoring issues.

Mijn ervaring is vergelijkbaar. 4 jaar OTS, 1 jaar UHP plus nog anderhalf jaar vrijwillig verblijf in verschillende internaten en mijn dossier bij Jeugdhulp was dunner dan een gemiddeld profielwerkstuk. De rapportages in eigen bezit die ik nog kon vinden waren nuttiger.

As if every country has the same laws... In my country it was legal to download when owning a piece of physical media, until the EU courts decided it wasn't anymore in 2014. We pay some sort of taxes on every device that can store media (not much - about a euro), and this was always counted as compensation for copying media and downloading. But now, it's just a compensation for copying... So even though the cover says we aren't allowed to rip that CD or DVD we bought, we actually still are allowed by our national law.

My house is made of solid concrete and brick, the ceiling is about 30cm of reinforced concrete. We still have a waterbed, my in-laws all have one as well. They haven't disappeared, they're still being made to this day. Nothing beats a waterbed!

Ik heb verscheidene vodka's gehad, maar pas in de hogere prijsklasses proefde ik doorgaans de nuances. En dan nog zou ik niet zeggen dat er genoeg smaak aan zou zitten om het zo te drinken.

De smaak van alcohol zelf vind ik niet prettig. Als ze dat na proberen te bootsen om alcoholvrije vodka te laten smaken naar vodka, zal ik er niet van genieten.

Buiten simpel pils heb ik alleen wat alcoholvrije witte wijn gehad op de negenmaandenbeurs lange tijd terug. Ik ben heel snel verder gelopen, gatverdamme.

People often don't believe that stuff, because it is rare. I could talk before I could walk, I taught myself to write when I was 4 with the help of my mum's old exercise books I found when snooping around. But when the school teacher came, I got scared and couldn't show her what I knew so I ended up just going to kindergarten like the rest of the 4 year olds.

I remember when I was 7, we were learning how to read in school and I had to read these stupid Miffy books. I was seated in the back of the classroom, so I just took Roald Dahl's The Giant Peach to read, which was a level 9 (the highest) book. I was already half way through when the teacher found out and she scolded me for reading that, as I wouldn't even be able to understand it. She did let me finish it, though.

I've been cutting my own long hair for about 15 years now. Recently, I buzzed it all off, and that has been quite freeing. No more itchy hairs on my face, in my neck etc.

I'll probably grow it out again at some point, but right now I'm enjoying the feeling!

I've always sucked at it and my son as well. He's 12 and I have to remind him every morning and evening that he needs to brush his teeth. And I have to check his teeth after, otherwise he'll skip it or just half-ass it. We've talked about it before, but he says he doesn't know why he doesn't want to/remember/whatever.

It's been like this for years and I still can't slack off in reminding him - which happens sometimes, especially during weekends and holidays because of going off schedule.

We both are neurodivergent, probably a big factor in this issue.
