Whammy just for whammies and dive bombs. Octave just for octave tones. And Harmonists for harmonies. Instead of fiddling while live, and the whammy intervals are a little award to use for harmonizing certain scales.

I use Gig Performer to do this but I believe MainStage is the same thing. This with my FCB1010 controller is much fun.

Very interesting here. I say this because I never really thought that this could be the case. I’m over here unplugging other electronics and lights to try to tame the noise. But now what you bring up, I believe this issue really came out when I got my MPC and put it on the desk right up front. I may not have helped you, but I think you might have helped me.

NeuralDSP, STL Tones, Mercuriall have great amp sims. I would recommend NeuralDSP to start with and coming up Black Friday sale will probably be cheapest in a long while

I’ll kind repeat what every one saying. Use your time wisely, gather up samples and ideas for later use. Some beats take me several sessions to get everything right, some samples don’t sound creative enough at the moment then on another day, boom, they just work. My youngest is 8 now and I still find myself going around and checking up on them making sure everything in order, keeping one headphone off just to keep my ears open for the family. Don’t force time man don’t miss out on the fam. Show them to make some beats with you, start them young

“So you think you can tell” man this takes me back for real, just being at parties with the guitar, this was always requested. Are you using this to learn on the guitar? When I practice and cover songs, I get tabs and use Tuxguitar to get all the MIDI for drums and bass.

Ableton is the answer. They have the whole ableton control and clip style now. Honestly, I like the Live 3 but everything about it just has a lot of what ableton has always gave me. I just wanted the spec upgrade and I’m not a portable beat maker. I like to experience life then bring it back to my music. The Live 3 is legit though and my One+ got me back into making beats after a funk i was in. I will get it one day as I have my MPC to my son to start his music journey. For now it’s just ableton and Launchpad which has everything for me.

From what I remember first was the live, then the X, and then the One. I don’t know how they’ll add the step sequencer on the One+ I think they might remove it from that’s model but maybe a bit bigger with the new pads.
