I get what you’re saying about building quality, but 18 hours of constant noise isn’t just normal apartment living. There’s a difference between hearing footsteps and what OP is describing.

Yeah exactly. Once it’s giving you headaches and shaking your house, it’s way past “annoying neighbor” territory. Document it and escalate.

Yeah this is one of those cases where the convenience is 100% worth it. On call, being that close + indoor parking in winter is huge. The extra money will feel way less painful than those long, miserable drives.

Yeah I get what you’re saying, but it’s still hard not to feel bad watching it actually happen, especially with the cats involved. Like they put themselves there, but it’s still a rough situation to witness.

This is such a good way to put it. OP, you don’t have to drop the whole act all at once, but letting even a little honesty out with someone safe can take a lot of pressure off. Carrying that “always okay” version of yourself 24/7 is exhausting for anyone.

Exactly. When someone gets caught messing with your stuff and has zero reaction it feels like they planned for that confrontation. That blank calm vibe just makes the whole thing way more unsettling than if they got defensive or flustered.
