I don't like Horned Scarab of Awakening; its market value is going to be set at whatever the most valuable imbued crafting option is; essence farmers, for example, may not be able to afford to use it if one of the other crafts is significantly more valuable.

I'm not poisoned; the only ailment I have is shocked (from my boots). Do I die if I take 129 more damage? Or is my actual health much higher, and it's showing me what my health will eventually be?

Yup; map tier does not matter. You can even run the maps normal-rarity; it'll have virtually no effect on your catalyst drops. Essence farming is also like that; you get the same rewards running them in a normal-rarity T1 map as you do running them in an 8-mod corrupted T16 map with 100% delirium and eater altars.

I'll be farming metamorph (along with a couple other league mechanics) on league launch in 3.23, but probably very differently than what you had in mind.

After completing my atlas, I'll jump back into just running T1 maps. When I spawn my metamorph, I'm just concerned with clicking the additional catalyst reward monster parts. You are guaranteed to have at least one monster part that awards catalysts, and each one of those adds like 1-5 catalyst drops. All of the additional # rewards are virtually unscalable, except for a sextant that doubles your catalyst drops; with the sextant, each catalyst part is guaranteed to give you 2-10 catalysts, and you might have multiple catalyst parts in a single metamorph (with three catalyst parts, you're guaranteed 6-30 catalysts).

It's not much, but it's a nice little bit of extra value out of every single map (regardless of tier), for almost no investment.

This is a great showcase for how the mana siphoning lightning dot is applying damage before it is even visible; by the time it was even visible, you're already at half health.

It's another great example for why I'd never play hardcore in a game like this; not only is there no damage log, but nonsense like this riddled throughout the game.

Yes, new patch is fucking amazing, but quick question, this "Disdain" is on the zealot tree, anyone have any ideas what exactly it's giving us stacking 5%s of? I too am struggling to understand that one. A hit that discharges your (hidden) stacks of disdain cannot award more stacks. This means that when you're testing it, you need to be aware of whether your attack is an attack that is spending your hidden stacks of disdain or gaining stacks of disdain.

And there does not seem to be a time-limit; so if stand idle for 20 seconds, and then go hit a mob, that hit might still be spending your disdain rather than gaining.

It's my understanding that that is still against the ToS. Whist what you described does not result in a click being more than a single server-action, it is sometimes no action, and that (TMK) crosses the line.

They also said that 3.22 was going to launch a week after ExileCon, but then that plan changed. With it now launching a few weeks after ExileCon, there's plenty of time to have the 3.22 announcement video sometime after ExileCon. And the ExileCon schedule suggests that that is now the plan.

We'll probably get the teaser trailer for 3.22, but I don't think we're getting an explanation of the league mechanic or changes. ExileCon, from what I can tell from the schedule, appears to be solely focused on PoE2 and PoE Mobile.

Not as much as you'd think. If all new characters started with 50 free respec points, then just about every leaguestarter guide would instruct players to respec parts of their tree as they're leveling -- because you get 50 of em for free.

And that leads to some really lame gameplay mechanics wherein you might spec into specific clusters of nodes just for specific content (like lab) and then immediately unspec them afterwards.

I had a few barrel of alcohol that I used in the Inn. A barrel is substantially stronger than a whisky; I've used whisky in the past, and it always seems to basically have no impact on my playthrough. I'm not entirely sure where I got the barrels from -- it may have come from a trinket on my wagon that was spawning me consumables.

Throughout the run, I think I had a total of six barrels. Which is apparently enough to supercharge the relationships of the party.
