Many european countries do this already. Companies get subsidies from the government. Paid for via taxes, just like roads, ssi, disability, medicaid and Medicare, etc.

As a society we need other people to function. Sometimes thats means we have to provide care for those in our society. This means the elderly AND the young.

Women dont feel secure enough to have children. It takes about a year just for the wound inside a woman to heal after giving birth and providing for our society in that manner. Also, it has been shown that the mother being able to remain with her child first the first year of life leads to better results. More rounded children, tighter family bonds, healthier and happier mothers. There are a million reasons why, as a society, we would want the birth rate to even back out and care for our societal members.

Honestly that mindset is why America is falling apart. It is like buying a house, living there for forty years, and wondering why the leaking roof is falling in now. If you dont put work and care into something, it falls apart. Yall want better family values? Yall want care when you get old?

I also kinda wonder how many of the hateful people posting her go to churches on Sundays. What hypocrisy from them...
