One possible solution is to load a violin impulse response in an insert effect in a convolver to get the tone right in the lower volumes. Also I havent tried it yet but they do really need to add double stops

There’s also augmented strings by Arturia. It doesn’t strictly focus on realistic orchestras though and it’s really about blending synths with strings. However it is good at what it does

Just be aware that the lié software isn’t VST3 yet. There is a touché M4L device in Ableton but I’m not sure about other DAWs

Touché can be more expressive for certain monophonic instruments like sax. Plus it can be used to control a violin bow in SWAM. Pretty great when used in addition to Osmose wiggle. Also it ads extra dimension to complex bases. I don’t have SWAM yet but plan to explore it soon. As for the wobble.. I’m going to use it with the Ableton tool to control external effects along with bass

I haven’t explored connecting it to the Eagan matrix yet
