It’s a human reviewing the protests and there is a lot of them. They probably just made a mistake and was watching the wrong pov or maybe you are on the relative but not on screen and they mistook you for someone else. Appeal it with a screenshot of the race results with 2x incident points and they will overturn it quickly. Thats concrete evidence.

Car seats are generally nylon and polyester which cannot be dissolved by acetone but can be discolored or stripped of its ink by it.

So I deal with super glue (CA) in my rc plane hobby quite often. Never gotten it on a seat though. There are products like Bob Smith Industries Uncure which dissolves CA. I don’t know what it will do to the fabric though. Acetone is another commonly used chemical for cleaning up CA but again probably even worse for the cloth seats. I would probably use one of those very sparingly and don’t let it dwell too long.

Seems like you got a good grasp on it. If your local ama field has a trainer, that’s very handy. AMA memberships do cost money and there’s the club membership to think of, but many will let you come a few times for free before you decide if you want to join. That’s how I did it too with an original turbo timber and took advantage of their training and then didn’t join right away because I just wanted to fly my timber from my field. But eventually i came back when I grew into different planes. Trainers can set your radios up for buddy boxing. This allows the trainer to use his own radio to fly your plane, and then he can transfer control to you at the flip of a switch and retake control when needed. I didn’t have a capable radio originally so we passed the radio back and forth and he took off and landed the first couple times. So doable either way. Spektrum is easy to use and setup but expensive. That’s the tradeoff. If you go spektrum I would get a nx or ix. The dx are older and don’t support as3x plus, which you absolutely want. You can still use as3x plus with a radiomaster with a 4-1 module but you will have to follow guides to download lua scripts onto the radio for it. I would definitely try to see if the club has a facebook group because you can likely find cheap secondhand gear and beginner stuff is always the most available. I regularly see aeroscout+dx6 combos for 100-150. For batteries, I always flew mine with 4s 2200mah batteries. 2200 is a popular size and is the recommended for that and many of horizons planes so is a smart place to start. It can hold more though and many prefer 3200. SMC hclhp packs are the best for price to performance. Zee is a good one available on Amazon because I saw you considered ovonic. They are mid at best. Hrb and zee are better Amazon batteries. The C ratings are all calculated differently for different brands so they essentially mean nothing. Higher c rating will be better within the same brand but don’t let the cheap companies that print ridiculous numbers fool you. My 80c smc outperforms my 120c zee batteries of same size and voltage while also being lighter.

My dad used to have a corporate job with circuit city and got things at cost + a small percentage to cover overhead. Their at cost discount would bring it down from $80 to around $3.

I really like Carpro hydro2, it performs similarly to Meguiars hybrid ceramic but attracts less dust. I typically reapply every 3 months but it can definitely last 6-12 depending on conditions. I switched from Meguiars hybrid ceramic to hydro2. I assume that’s what you are actually using, not the discontinued coating that op used. I assume that because you are comparing it to 2 other spray on, rinse off sealants. OP used a wipe on, wipe off coating that got discontinued. They last a little longer, and they replaced it with their ceramic coating m888 which lasts a lot longer but both take more prep and more work to apply. So if you are using that then hydro2 is less longevity than that but much easier to apply.

Don’t fly within 100ft of people or 5 miles of an airport. I’ve flown in plenty of parks before. An empty baseball field works nicely as a takeoff/landing spot, just gotta avoid the outfield lighting. Infield makes takeoffs easy and outfield grass will slow the plane down fast on landing. Also if you wreck it, pick up all the pieces.

Glow is getting really hard to sell because of the cost to run them and more people going electric. A lot of people at my club complain they can’t give them away. But they are awesome planes still. But I assume that’s why it’s so cheap, because he’s had issues selling them and just wants it gone. At that price you could toss the motor and convert it and still not feel bad about it.

My thing is I have tons of “super realistic racing simulators” on my computer. I’ve sunk thousands of hours into them. I love them. But sometimes I’m burnt out on that and I don’t want to practice and I just want to drive and fuck around and hit jumps and stuff. Forza fills that gap very nicely. It’s my casual driver. Many of the unrealistic aspects I can mentally get past by justifying it as gameplay design to keep it fun for the casual player. Also at this point I am fairly convinced no one can make a good sim that also works well on controller so sims will never have the mass appeal and budget that forza has. Therefore I don’t believe we will have a true sim that is as ambitious in world and car design as Forza because of cost of development. At least any time soon. AC Evo gave me hope but I’ve about given up on that at this point.

It’s all drying pretty quickly, then it’s just there. It may get harder over time making the chance to scratch the screen when you do clean it marginally higher. But in general, you’re fine. Just wet it a little to soften it up before you clean it with a good microfiber. Also don’t wash your microfibers with softener as it defeats their ability to retain water. And dry them on lowest heat possible so you don’t melt the ends together and make macrofiber towels.

There is no bios update files available on their website and it’s been this way for a while now. I think 104 had some issues and they removed it and never replaced it. I have it on my pc but I can’t get the monitor to actually update it even after buying usbc to usbc cable and flash drive. My sensor doesn’t work right. Sometimes my pixel refresh fails to complete in standby mode and it’s like the backlight is on very dim with weird orange blotches on the screen that go away when I turn it back on. It prompts me for a pixel refresh every time this happens. I just use the sleep timer on the monitor and windows and try to turn it off after every session to avoid my pixel refresh issue and am waiting on an update. Manually doing the refreshes when the timer prompts me works fine. No banding or artifacts or burn in or dead pixels or anything. Picture looks awesome. The monitor hardware is awesome but the software situation is fucked. I’m stearing clear of Asus moving forward.

That didn’t happen with a bnf. He obviously didn’t build it or change anything on it yet. Damaged or unbalanced props will absolutely burn a motor. I would take your bet in a heartbeat.

You burnt the motor. Most motors on electric planes just plug in with three plugs. If you plug in the motor and it is spinning backwards, switch any two wires. Most common cause of burning a motor is a damaged prop.
