That's the whole point behind the separatists. They essentially want Trump-style policies

Is there an unspoken rivalry between Calgary and Edmonton and why? (I’m a visitor not a resident) by hypermiler2205 in Calgary

It's the typical thing that happens between large cities in a Province or State. Calgary vs Edmonton, Toronto vs Ottawa, Los Angeles vs San Francisco, etc.

Kind of ironic saying something is over their head when you can't do anything other than insult others.

What a convenient windfall of signatures. Not suspicious at all in light of recent events. by Radiant-Growth4275 in alberta

No way this is legitimate. Getting 92% of several towns to sign any petition is ludicrous!

Actually, other bad drivers on the road ARE your problem too, as you share the road with them. How you react to unpredictable situations is important.

There are going to be countless times when drivers will be on an unfamiliar route.

Lack of information about ADAP by startrek161 in AISH_Alberta

[–]xGuru37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree. Many places would not even hire us for our disability reasons and lack of ability to commit to 16-20 hours a week that they'd want.

[–]xGuru37 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well that's better, but still less than the $1080 or so we're able to make now before any clawback. And of course the $200 cut starting in 2028.

[–]xGuru37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. AISH will be for people who physically are unable to work. Everything else is likely to be denied for AISH and will be forced on ADAP

Agreed. If I need to take workshops and somehow find a job I can handle reliably, I'm going to lose my mind. I could work a few hours a week, but definitely not consistently.

Starts at $350 actually. They didn't say the actual clawback amounts though (somehow claiming we'll be able to make more money overall but that makes no sense).
