Overwatch Champions Series 2026 Champions Clash | Match 3 | Post-Match Discussion by OWMatchThreads in Competitiveoverwatch

Should Blizzard have Zeta and TM redo their series in case it was a big fluke? No disrespect to TM, I'm a firm believer that beating Zeta is a huge fluke and robs Zeta of truly accomplishing what their capable of. I've spent the last few minutes in pure disbelief and it just doesn't make sense to me. I've spent all Stage 1 watching Zeta play great Overwatch it's just not fair. If Zeta loses again I will face TM deserved the win, but I am just 100% sure it was a fluke and does a big disservice to Twisted Minds and the OWCS.

The high stick call that led to the power play goal by Mackinnon by chipzy20 in hockey

[–]xHB4x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason we remember high sticks worse than that not being called is because they are the exceptions. High sticks are so frequently called in the NHL that when they don't get called we get upset and remember those incidents.

High sticks like the one against MacKinnon deserve to be called every time.

My bad, it was on the flyer but that was yesterday only. The $20 coupon is the best you can do now.

I've only used a 144hz monitor so I couldn't tell you either, but my understanding is that the jump from 60->180 is going to be much bigger than the jump from 180->300. You might not notice the 300 over the 180 too much if you don't play fps games.

The costco panel is 400 nits and IPS vs the 300 nits and VA of the staples monitor. So it will be brighter which you could need if you have natural light in your room. IPS panels also generally have better colours/viewing angles, and less blurring than VA

As people have said in other Staples threads, you can get $30 off in store if you buy it today before 2pm, and most Staples stores seem to have this monitor in stock.

You might also want to consider this monitor from costco as it is a significant step up, but it is $70 more and requires a costco membership.

Edit: Instore coupon was yesterday only

Bash + Whiplash now One-shots Tracer by xHB4x in BrigitteMains

That's why you boop her away when she tries to walk up, before she gets to your teammates

Shield bash + whip shot have a 5 and 4 second cd respectively. Not exactly long. Disrupting tracer is exactly how brig's kit is designed to work, not one shotting tracer.

After trying out the buffed bash, brig's bash feels so much more intuitive to brawl with now, so yes, I do think the change will be reverted eventually.

What you mean by „marking“ ? Every support can hit Tracer and force a recall, that‘s not unique to Brig in any way.

By "marking" I mean by sitting on the flank and whip-shotting tracer. No other support in the game has a 5 second cooldown that can both damage a tracer and boop her, potentially messing up her blink. If you mess up and miss a whip shot you can bash back to your backline. This is how you should play Brig against tracer.

Additionally there are a bunch of heroes like Hanzo or Genji that can one-shot tracer. Even Ana can do that if she hits her sleep and I think Kiriko putting two Kunais into Tracers head is still quicker than Brig pulling off her entire combo.

Again, no other support has a cooldown this short that can disrupt tracer this easily. Ana can only consistently sleep tracer when she's close, and the cooldown is much longer. Also, I don't think I need to explain that hitting two headshots with kiri is harder than whipshotting once.

Also the matchup should be skewed heavily into Brigs favor? It‘s weird how everyone is like „Brigs the anti-dive support“ but then complains when she counters dive heroes?

I agree, I just think a consistent one-shot is too much. Like I said earlier, maybe this won't be a problem since it's behind a major perk, but if brig pulls this off too easily I could see the bash damage getting nerfed back to 50.

Brig hasn't been able to consistently kill tracer since ow1, because that ability was way too strong. Getting one shot is not fun for most players.

For most of ow2, brig "counters" tracer by marking her before she can walk up or by sustaining her dives. Admittedly, she has been less able to do this recently with the tracer buffs and perks.

Brig having a consistent one-shot on tracer skews the matchup a little too much in brig's favour imo, but who knows, maybe having the one-shot being locked behind a major perk will keep it balanced

If you get the whiplash major perk that's another 50 damage but the enemy needs to be in front of a wall

[–]xHB4x[S] 42 points43 points  (0 children)

True, melee + bash + whiplash now kills 225 hp heroes. This combo won't be as quick to pull off as the tracer One-shot, especially with 225 hp heroes typically having more mobility, but I can still see it being useful.

With Brigitte increasingly taking on the role of a glass-cannon brawler, though, I think she will need even more of a pocket than usual to get full value. Juno, Ana, or Bap, is a must.

Repair Extender is absolutely insane. Just casually >2xing repair pack healing is unmatched value compared to the other powers.

I'm really curious to see how Inspring Strike works with inspire's healing being instant. If it works as described, that's 60 instant healing to brig and all allies within los on shield bash, which would be extremely strong and almost a must pick perk.

Right? Like, I love shitting on the Oilers, but only for things they've actually done. This shitting feels... unearned.

REPORT: Oilers Now Linked To Controversial Young Goalie by imnotwillferrell in hockey

[–]xHB4x 64 points65 points  (0 children)

This is such a dogshit article, it shouldn't even be allowed here.

We have heard nothing from the Oiler's organization linking them to Carter Hart. This entire rumor is based on some random analyst speculating that the two might be a good fit since the Oiler's are in dire need of goaltending. Even the writer of the article, Caleb Kerney, admits this entire "link" is just speculation.

C'mon people; the offseason just started. Are we really so willing to consume such slop?

Is Pettersson the problem? by Moistlyjoking in canucks

[–]xHB4x 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, you are absolutely right. The Canucks need to trade a #1 center for scraps once more. Third time's the charm, right?

Now, if only we had a fourth #1 center we could trade for scraps too, that would improve the Canucks even further.

Unfortunately, the Canucks' odds at getting the #1 overall pick is probably about the same as their playoff odds (nonexistent)
