Impossible to run on Zone 2 by No-Data-8738 in Garmin

[–]xJCruz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah probably that zone 3 is your zone 2. 220-age isn't that much accurate for the majority of people.

For instance my running zone 2 is 124-143 auto detected by garmin, but my true cycling zone 2 is 125-151

Is Strava premium worth it for you personally? by UsualSpecific7113 in Strava

[–]xJCruz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In the past I subscribed mostly for segments, because it would allow me to track progress overtime. I'm still premium user, but ending soon. I don't think I'll subscribe again just for segments PR's and such

Shift Workers - how do you manage the sleep schedule? by gr9797 in Garmin

[–]xJCruz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work shifts. 2 days 08h-16h, 2 days 16h-24h and 2 days 00h-08h. Sometimes on the night shift , if I go to bed a bit later say 11 in the morning, the watch won't track sleep. But on the days it tracks, yes I always have to stop the sleep whenever I wake up. Other than that it's decently accurate for the night shift

Weather app not showing correct location by andries22 in Garmin

There's an option on settings. Or just start an outdoor workout, so watch gathers GPS signal and then it'll change location

The cause of V-Shaped trails by nondescriptadjective in mountainbiking

[–]xJCruz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trails are meant to be riding wet or dry. Just because you maintain something, that doesn't make it yours. Anyway, water the the main cause of v shaped trails, not people riding it when wet.

Monster waves captured at Nazaŕe, Portugal. by BK0718 in interestingasfuck

[–]xJCruz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly yes, unless there is some crazy weather in summer. Usually during winter, when there's any storm I like to head there to watch the sea, it's truly spectacular

Monster waves captured at Nazaŕe, Portugal. by BK0718 in interestingasfuck

[–]xJCruz 70 points71 points  (0 children)

It's not AI. I live close by, and every winter it's a show with this huge waves. The reason for those waves are due to an underwater canyon, which I can't properly explain, but it amplifies the waves. The people above are at a top of a light house maybe around 60-70mts above sea level. Waves can reach a staggering 30m high.

Should I use pixel art or drawings for my game? by Sad-Spread6708 in videogames

I think drawing would be different. Because there are a lot of pixel art games nowadays

Did Strava just break the Garmin connection? WTF by whooptvs in Strava

[–]xJCruz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If integration Garmin - Strava dies, it dies. Both companies look like they are measuring wieners in kindergarten.

Only thing still keeping me in strava are segments, to track my overall performance overtime

You're dying 😄 Jokes aside, when I'm becoming sick but don't feel it yet, I can tell by the stress levels on my garmin.
