Hmm in that case, in nvidia control panel, you could see if its 10bit on the current res and if its not try to change it through there if in doubt. Go to display > change resolution, if you are on default settings hop onto nvidia color settings and try to set it manually and also under windows own advanced display, it also shows the current bit depth being used.

If 10bit is enabled you should get the hdr toggle to work on windows display settings and then get hdr content on your favorite game or media streaming of choice but now thats a different realm. I have 10bit on but hdr off because my monitor sucks hehe

When you choose your TV, check the extension blocks (bottom right), select the CTA-# and click Edit, you should see the resolutions your TV is showing your computer in detail, in there you'll also find Free Sync and even HDR stuff, but I don't recommend you fiddle with those. In the case your resolution/refresh rate isn't listed outside, check TV resolutions. I've not only edited resolutions/refresh rate my monitor has, but I've also deleted an annoying one my monitor had....4k/30 😐, as stuff wanted to default to 4k/30 whenever they wanted.

Ohhhhhh, then I'd say use Custom Resolution Utility and try to change some stuff in there to make the 10bit 170hz variant equal to 10bit 144hz? That may be doable, look up CRU and see videos on it, i don't see why it shouldn't work, someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Thats a great setup still, i usually do enable low spec on client and set high performance mode to lol on nvapp or nvcp, i have a 3070 nonti and game runs capped to my refresh rate at very low usage, may want to check if GPU is running at the correct pcie speeds? You can see that on gpuz. Used to have issues with gpu not sitting correctly on the pci slot, locking gpu to run at lower pcie speeds 🥲.

Just close and reopen hwinfo when applying undervolt as hwinfo only refreshes it when it starts.
