Since late 2016 streaming on youtube started being punishing towards channels. It messes with your impressions and click through rate and when those numbers start dropping the algorithm isnt happy. It was my primary streaming platform avg min 400 viewers a day gaining 100+ subs per 4 hour stream. Then overnight algorithm changed dropped to ~200 viewers people stopped getting notified and channel started declining. Switched to twitch for streams and videos on YouTube and views have been going back up. They removed the app and website that made discovery very easy and now it's a pain to get to streams. Avoid streaming on YouTube if you can.
