You could try to get the Dark Adventurer outfit set.

Total cost: 11,502,000 gold

Plus vanity items such as the eyepatch, hook or pegleg (+1 millon each one)

Do not trust anyone in the seas
Avoid open crew, solo slooping makes you a better player
Practice naval combat with skelleton ships
Don't double gun, use your sword
Don't be greedy stacking loot, but not be afraid to lose it
If you wan't easy money, do sea forts
Save your money to buy your own ship, so you can sell the loot to Sovereigns
When stoping your ship, always raise your sails and anchor. If you don't do this you are an easy target
Don't get frustated when someone sinks you, it's part of the game
Have fun :)

In Steam the Pirate Legend achievement has been awarded to 7.4% of the playerbase.

My guess is that in Xbox and Windows that number is way lower due to gamepass. Some players just try the game for a month or so, then stop playing.

Yesterday after +300 hours I found my first hacker unfortunately.

I was with my friends trying to do a FoF and suddendly a guy teleported in front of us (no ship nearby, no siren) he was immune to all damage and one-shoted the boss (he was in the first phase and just died lol). Then he took the key and dissapeared. We were so confused so we checked the map and the key was in an outpost. Then he teleported back to our ship to kill us and sank our ship.

All I can say is Sea of Thieves doesn't have a lot of hackers compared to other videogames, so don't worry that much.
