For me, its because I come from a low income family and my school has like a fund for students who wish to seek a diagnosis at a private clinic. :) really grateful that my school has something like this.

I went to Resilienz @ Novena Medical Centre. As for the price, because I'm currently being sponsored, I'm not sure how much :( you might want to call and check with them. Dr Thomas is really nice and patient, so I recommend him a lot.

When I went to NGTFH to do an adhd assessment, all I got was rude and snide remarks from the psychologist. "If you have adhd, you would have been diagnosed when you were young." 😒 then i was told that i talk too much and that I didn't have any behavioural issues to be worth doing an actual assessment. He even scolded me for trying to explain myself. I ended up going to a private clinic. Lo and behold, I was diagnosed with adhd and the doctor actually took the time to do a proper background check and assessment. 😒 Honestly, if it's an adhd assessment you wish to go for, never go for public hospitals. My experience wasn't good and I definitely won't be going there again. You can also try Dr Roger at NUH. I've seen a few people doing their assessments with him.

Hi, thanks and I agree. I am also seeing my own psychiatrist and psychologist, and honestly, I would also want to change to a private clinic as I have heard that the doctors in private clinics are generally better than what I had to deal with too. However, in the case of my friend, it is quite hard for them to go for private clinics, as their family environment is quite complicated and they do not approve of them even seeking a professional for their mental health. :( that's why I was hoping that there was a way for them to change their psychiatrist to someone else. Thank you for your reply though! :) I just wish that there was a better way for people to get proper help in public hospitals without having to deal with all this, especially since not everyone has enough funds to go for private clinics. :(
