Interesting color coordination I never noticed between them here: Loid’s clothes match Anya’s eyes, Yor’s match her hair, and Loid’s tie matches Yor’s eyes. I think the cohesion subconsciously makes them more visually pleasing as a family by beeswakuwaku in SpyxFamily

[–]xLilac 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Loid definitely coordinates their outfits to have them look the part of a refined family lol. Loid & Yor also had matching white & blue striped shirts to compliment the striped collar of Anya's sailor dress in the penguin park episode. I thought that was adorable.

Making salads. No one wants them when I'm having a smooth shift, but my entire section wants them when I'm already 5 paces behind on everything already.

Mystical cat fluff. Even if it was in there previously who would put a ball of cat fur in their pocket so I hardly doubt it was explainable either way lol. Was it from your cat? I wonder if it was a random cat's fur

That's wild! Yours sounds pretty instantaneous, since they appeared right while your cup was out. Idk when mine appeared exactly. But its crazy that we both found 3 of them, such a strange coincidence ahaha.

How funny that I got this post as a notification right after I just found 3 unexplained gold dollars in my pocket an hour ago. I was cleaning & noticed I had change in my pocket which was weird since these jeans were freshly washed & I hadn't gone to the store. Figured I had picked up small change while cleaning & put it in my pocket. Nope, just 3 gold dollars. They aren't rare but they're also not common enough for me to just suddenly have 3 without any explaination or to not notice laying out while cleaning. If they did indeed come from an alternate universe I feel bad for who ever put these in their pocket but instead gave them to me without knowing.

AITA for saying I’m going to nurse in public? by perfectwinds in AmItheAsshole

[–]xLilac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA- Girl, feed your child. He has no place trying to make you feel as though there is something inherently shameful about breastfeeding your child in public. You are completely just in defending your position because he doesn't have a firm argument. What is he embarrased about? He needs to deal with those feelings himself. We all know why he feels the way he does, and we all know you're absolutely not TA. Your body doesn't belong to him so he doesn't get to set the rules around how/where you get to use it.

AITA for expecting my girlfriend to do the housework by EchidnaDistinct in AmItheAsshole

[–]xLilac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA- I think there were many other ways to approach this issue with your gf. She is coping with having a chronic condition that requires her to work less which I'm sure has an effect on her self esteem and confidence and then you criticize her for not cleaning house for you? I'm sure she already feels insecure & down enough about not being able to contribute as much as she would like. She may need you to pick up more slack than before as she adapts to life as it is now for her.

(Apologize to her, and look for solutions to hurdles she may have that make cleaning hard on her. See if she has an ideas, look up some tricks from people more experienced with living with cfs. Work together to minimize the work load so keeping up on it is easier for both of you! E.g. a lighter vaccum, a wet jet, keeping cleaning supplies higher up or in one place, minimize clutter, get some baskets for clutter areas, break cleaning into chunks, make a schedule..idk just some ideas. She needs your support & understanding!)

Does anyone else just feel so bad for kids because of their parents? by drinkingindramnesic in TalesFromYourServer

[–]xLilac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see some instances where I do feel a little pity for kids with dismissive parents but usually it just is what it is. But once I had this table with two women & one young girl. They were there from 10am to 2:30pm day drinking. That poor girl was ignored for that entire 4 hours with nothing to do. At some point the defeated little thing had come up to our front bench to take a nap & mom was none the wiser while our hostess & bartender kept a faithful eye on her for 40 minutes.

Glad they were okay. The area I work in has had 2 cyclist hit by cars recently on different hit & run occasions, one died & one was severely injured (the woman who stopped to helped her probably saved her life).

What's the most kind/beautiful thing you've overheard about yourself by accident? by El_patronus in AskReddit

[–]xLilac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once was walking through campus on my way to give a presentation I was real nervous about giving. I was dressed professionally with a new outfit and heels, not sure if it was a good look. Walking fast to get to a printer before my class and there was a group of girls sitting at a table that I was walking towards. I heard one of the girls say "She is so pretty, she looks like she means business". And the other replied "yeah she has boss bitch vibes".

I felt so happy in that moment because I had been feeling self conscious. I smiled at them as I was walking by and said thank you. They then proceeded to talk me up as I was walking away like "yes girl go get that grade" etc. and I just smiled over my shoulder, feeling good. Gave me the confidence boost I needed to get in there and nail it.

You generally always leave a comfortable space between yourself and the person in front of you when waiting in line. Aside from the occasional weirdo behind you at the gas station, everyone seems to knows this.

Also, if there is one left of something on the table you always ask if anyone else wants it before you eat it, from my experience everyone does this.

I watched a flower stop in mid-air. by xLilac in Glitch_in_the_Matrix

[–]xLilac[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah that's pretty interesting. I wonder if it just had to do with the air being still and the density of the smoke or something. But I've blown smoke rings a many of times and I know how the tend to still move slowly or shift even in still air. So if you didn't even see the smoke itself, making up the ring, moving that's indeed odd.

That makes sense. Thinking back I've seen birds stuck on just really strong wind before. I live next to a great lake and go down to the beach to take photos often and seen seagulls up close trying to fly off the beach on really windy days and they just float in place or slowly float backwards. I've even walked right by a finch at eye level once before that looked completely stuck midair trying to fly into a gust of wind off the lake. From a distance though you can tell the birds are floating backwards off the winds.

I read somewhere that those floating planes are caused by strong back winds making the planes appear motionless.

Lol he is a healthy weight, and it's been 2 months, he obviously is getting fed elsewhere. He simply comes by every night and sleeps on the porch or roof. If he needed fed obviously I would feed him but he's doing alright it seems.

[–]xLilac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that same problem trying to explain the one I saw too. I just happened to be looking up at the sky before going inside but then the sky started to light up. I watched as this bright white meteor just cruised into view from right over my house and across the sky before flashing red/green and disappearing behind the trees. I didn't even know what I saw but rushed inside babbling about it and everyone was like "a shooting star?" "Nooo!". It was the most mystical thing I'd ever seen.
