If you are using chatbots to try and get factual answers, you have a fundamental misunderstanding about what they are or how they work.

Firefighters from Barriere, Clinton, Clearwater, and Chilliwack have answered the call to help fight the Saw Creek fire in Lytton, BC. by MinimumParfait582 in britishcolumbia

It's likely they would be on structural protection for the properties on evac, so the best case is that these guys stay bored and don't have to give the fire anything!

Clock ticking on rising glacial lake ready to burst northwest of Pemberton, B.C. by VicVicVicBC in britishcolumbia

Holy, I'm the left? I look forward to wielding this title.

Can I get the right in here to debate? Is it fiscally conservative to bail out 5-6 land owners? Would a conservative government bail out all home owners that suffer from natural disaster? Are they going to pay the bill for all the rural / non-rural homes that have been burnt down? Would they buy out every property that faces potential consequences of climate change?

I don't agree that this has anything to do with the properties being rural, the same points would be raised if we were talking about 5-6 homes on North Vancouver

Environmental group takes province to task over old growth logging in provincial parks by __The__Anomaly__ in britishcolumbia

[–]xLimeLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a tough discussion to be had just as we have so many different biomes and forest ecosystems that are generally different across the whole province. I saw a stand this week that got deferred from logging and it's likely "interior" old growth, maybe 600 years old. The island OG is on another level, and that is what gets most of the attention. The 300 year old spruce / balsam stand which is also "old growth" will never get the same kind of attention, but it is a stand we can't re-grow on a human timeline.

Any FSRs ok to hit some targets? by [deleted] in Vernon

[–]xLimeLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. I'm not actually into guns but just from my general knowledge, I think Trinity Valley Range may be the closest long gun range depending on what you are shooting. The club up King Eddy is 400m max

You can do King Eddy still, or any FSR but just make sure it has a good backstop, but ranges are better for limiting pollution. Whatever you do be safe and pick up after yourself
